Prince was a WHOLE nother vibe!!! No one else like him. I've always said, Michael Jackson was like Bill Cosby telling jokes, the whole family could listen. Prince!! Man!! He was Iconic and a Musical Treasure. He did it his way! He also gave opportunities to a lot of honest. He was comfortable in who he was, so he wasn't afraid to share his platform and his formula. A musical genius in my book. And....THIS SONG!! FIRE!!!!

Prince doesn’t deserve A playlist, he deserves multiple playlists. You can do it by eras or his slow jams versus funky, versus up beat. In high school I had a first three albums cassette and a slow jams cassette. If you liked this you will truly appreciate “Do Me Baby, “ from an earlier album.

There is no other way around it. To get the FULL pre- Purple Rain experience, You have to listen to the entire 1999 album in it's entirety. It will rock your socks off. Raise your eyebrows. Leave you in stitiches. And if you have a wife who never heard it before, be prepared for her to suggest you call up your boys and go do something with them for the rest of that evening. This album laid the ground work as to why dudes would tell you, NEVER have your woman accompany you in the prescence of Prince. All he had to do was say hello, and she would be lost. LOST...

The best thing about Prince in the beginning was EVERYTHING on the record was him..even Prince bass Prince drums which each have their own signature sound... like total immersion who else could do it all like this. And write for others. And dance like James Brown

Funny enough,this song was ment for the time and as a matter of fact,he did the demo where is having fun in the studio with Morris on the drums you can found it on KZfaq,"International Lover Take 1" but he decided to keep it for himself,hence the different take on the song which has a more sexy feel to it

I was a huge MJ fan and my friend told me about Prince and said he was better than MJ. I didn't believe him and then he played "Head" and "Dirty Mind." I was in shock and couldn't believe what I was hearing, but I was hooked. He was already three albums in at that point and I made sure to listen to all of them. I was 8 at the time and have been a huge fan ever since. Every year on the anniversary of his passing, my Facebook profile picture becomes one of Prince. There'll never be another like him.

Back in the day it was custom for fellas around my way to have a "Prince tape" All of his slow songs on one cassette tape for those occasions you had a female over. All you had to do was pop in the tape and let it do its work!

I agree with Greg Cummings... 2 me & in my humble opinion, 1 of the biggest, hugest difference's b-tween MJ & Prince & a easy way 2 explain is that MJ 's music was directed 2-ward's those mainly under 18yrs of age... MJ's music was rated PG & rated G side of thing's 😏😏😏 & then u had Prince at the other end of the spectrum, directing his music 2 those who were 18yrs old & older pushing the envelope on the rated R & rated X side of thing's with a few handfuls of getting straight 2 the point of thing's & as much flirtation as 1 could take with very vivid, very clear , very descriptive & masterfully written lyric's... with a whole & complete rage with his vocals that take a strong hold & grip on u that just does not let 1 💯🔥😎😏😏😏

I was only 9 when I first heard this so I didn't grasp the full meaning but I was on the cusp. Prince is his own caliber. That whole album is dope! I played all his albums with headphone on for full experience. At 15, my mother dropped me off to his venue without a clue what I was about to witness. She ended up stealing all my Prince records for her own consumption. The man was a monster; a business and musical genius packing mind blowing sensuality. On another note, they did him wrong for his masters. I read his family got took, as folk who purchased his masters had been connected to people around him before his death. They purchased the masters from the estate cheap. It ended up the IRS valued the sale at half the true value of the masters, of course they wanted their full share in taxes. I imagine the family is on the hook for that.
