When I reflect back over the years. Rosie is actually a better interviewer in my opinion than Oprah, Barbara, and Whoopi. More sincerity, genuine, and more relatable.

I'll miss Prince forever. I was such a huge fan. As a kid I remember seeing Purple Rain numerous times in the theatre . Typically you see a movie once then waited for it to come out on vhs but Prince was the shiznit!!❤️❤️❤️ He was truly gifted and talented. I still play his music around the house.

Prince loved music and the art of making it and performing but i feel like he hated the superficial showbiz side of it. The expectation to present oneself a certain way... the "fakeness" of Hollywood.

@danielcowan8673 Жыл бұрын
He had a very difficult childhood. Maybe it made it difficult for him to relax around and trust people he didn't know well. Nothing to do with his sexuality.
@matthopkins83452 жыл бұрын
It doesn't cost a thing to be polite and he chose to be rude and stand-offish. He always struck me as someone that tried so, so hard to seem deep and intelligent but he accomplished that by attempting to make others feel as uncomfortable and broken as he clearly was inside. I actually felt sorry for Rosie as she tried so hard to make this work despite his rudeness.
@kadrae52772 жыл бұрын
Rude? OK. Here's the thing. At that time, much of mainstream media often made fun of the symbol name. You can see that he was bothered when Rosie called him TAFKAP. Then, she called him TAFFY. I would say that although he was upset, he still handled himself very well as opposed to other guests who might've cussed her out, damaged her stage, and walked off the show. IJS.
@cassidystarchild79072 жыл бұрын
He was perfectly amicable here, just didn't want his artistry mocked with silly nicknames.
@jgutie15522 жыл бұрын
He was trying to play along at first and change the subject but she kept calling him something he didn't want to be called. He was sorta forced to address it. She was rude to assume he was going to be okay with the name Taffy
@A.Light332 жыл бұрын
Wanting respect is rude now? Okay let someone call you something you don’t like in a meeting at your job. You just sit there and smile while being mistreated. That’s your choice. Prince handled it with humor but also let her know that he’s not one to be made a fool out of. Some people have something called self-love/respect and won’t compromise it in order to seem nice.
@Lyricsdaddy51502 жыл бұрын
It was much more her that was being kind of rude. He was probably doing his best to hang in there & not just walk off on her. This has always been an interview that bothered me. Letterman was like that with him once. Notice that he never did their shows again. He pretty much only did the Tonight Show from then on
