I love ALL Prince stories and find it amazing how super famous celebrities get nervous and tongue tied. He was and will ALWAYS be one of a kind. Miss him dearly 💜

Yes, I love all the Prince stories as well. I saw a video compilation of numerous guitarist & (SUPER TALENTED) artists recounting their own experiences of playing or hanging out with him. The joy they felt from those times with him makes you realize he was not just the greatest ARTIST…, but a great human being to cross paths with. I really am not someone easily star-struck, but I know I would have been if I found myself in his presence, let alone had the chance to even overhear him in conversation. He inspired AWE it seems, in every one he met. Knowing he is not and never will “be” anymore, returns me to a state of… melancholy. You know what I mean?

In the early 2000s (Musicology days) i was flying home to Minneapolis from LA and you walked past the first row of first class as you boarded the plane. I walk on and Prince is sitting in the front row with sunglasses on. I just about screamed. I couldn't get off the plane fast enough when we landed to follow him. He walked through the terminal. Only 1 gal ran up to him and said hello and he was nice to her. That's my Prince airport story. 😊

Same with our Dutch band , called Lois Lane , and out Dutch saxophonist Candy Dulfer, they worked with Prince in the 90s .. Candy was in the video Partyman..

1:37: "No no, Prince was just being nice..." He's being diplomatic. Prince played bass in Michael's face to say "I can do this, and you can't". Prince and MJ were bitter rivals, and Prince always considered himself superior because he was a master of multiple instruments, and MJ wasn't.

The ping pong story was more engaging out of all of them. I almost met him on 08/11/2004 and I FROZE like a deer in headlights. I consider him the GREATEST EVER Entertainer so I would have got tongue tied had I approached him that night.
