Prince Solomon, with his closest man, Ibrahim Pargam Ibrahim receives the bad news in a hunt. His father Yavuz Sultan Selim Khan passed away. Prince Suleyman sets out for Istanbul without waiting. Prince Süleyman quickly reaches the capital. He attends the culus ceremony without waiting. His life changed in one day. He started his life as Sultan Süleyman.
Meanwhile, a galley loaded with slaves coming over the Black Sea is heading towards Istanbul. The hottest of the slaves is not yet aware that he is on a journey that will change his destiny. He is rebelling helplessly to return.
Sultan Süleyman wants to show what kind of sultan he is by the commands he gave on the first day of his sultanate. But not everyone will like these decisions. Sultan Süleyman does not hesitate to challenge all of Europe with the messages he sends.
Alex, despite all his rebellion, is brought to the Topkapi palace. His attitude attracted the attention of Valide Sultan from the first moment. But it won't be long before Alex learns the rules of the palace. He chooses a great target. Alex, Sultan Suleyman's first night on the way to attract his attention. Sultan Suleiman's wife Mahidevran just arrived from the palace of Manisa. He is looking forward to seeing his wife.
Şehzade Süleyman, en yakın adamı Pargalı İbrahim ile birlikte çıktığı bir avda alır kötü haberi. Babası Yavuz Sultan Selim Han vefat etmiştir. Şehzade Süleyman hiç beklemeden, İstanbul’a doğru yola çıkar. Şehzade Süleyman hızla payitahta ulaşır. Hiç beklemeden cülus törenine katılır. Bir günde hayatı değişmiş. Sultan Süleyman olarak padişahlık hayatına başlamıştır.
Bu sırada, Karadeniz üzerinden içi köle yüklü bir kadırga, İstanbul’a doğru gelmektedir. Kölelerden en ateşli olanı ise, kaderini değiştirecek olan yolculuğa çıktığının henüz farkında değildir. Geri dönmek için çaresiz bir şekilde isyan etmektedir.
Sultan Süleyman, padişahlığının ilk gününde verdiği buyruklarla nasıl bir padişah olduğunu göstermek ister. Ama bu kararlar herkesin hoşuna gitmeyecektir. Sultan Süleyman ise gönderdiği mesajlarla, tüm Avrupa’ya meydan okumaktan çekinmez.
Alex, tüm isyankarlığına rağmen, Topkapı sarayına getirilir. Onun bu tavrı ilk andan itibaren Valide Sultan’ın dikkatini çeker. Ama Alex’in sarayın kurallarını öğrenmesi uzun sürmez. Kendisine büyük bir hedef seçer. Alex, Sultan Süleyman’ın karşısına çıktığı ilk gecede onun ilgisini çekmeyi başarır. Sultan Süleyman’ın eşi Mahidevran ise Manisa sarayından yeni gelmiş. @@user-ob4sq6fi3sIn early episodes, Hatice look naive but had some authority and stand with her own foot. After became Ibrahim's wife, she look more mature but lose her power. Ibrahim overshadowed her almost completely and Hatice didn't have room to improved anymore. They're great couple for sure, but he's made Hatice too depended on him. Love basically destroyed Hatice, and also Nigar.

I don't understand why Hurrem feels jealous when Hatice was trying to comfort her nephew. In case she hasn't noticed, Mustafa is also Suleiman's son. So she will do best to accept that he too will have a place in his dad's heart.

Mahidevran really lost everything after Hürrem despite being the mother of a prince. She must have felt really alone. Couldn't even have another child... Hürrem so easily went on a killing spree so many times but Mahidevran lost everything for just attacking her once right after she lost her baby and was in trauma. Hürrem actually succeeded in killing every single time. Mahidevran got it right only with Mehmet. She led a sad life overall. Then her grandson was killed too. Too sad.

Mustafa was shown as jealous, which is most likely accurate. As he grew up the writers tried to paint him as an innocent victim of everyone around him, poor pitiful Mustafa, and pure as the driven snow! Wish they would have been more realistic, balanced and true to the actual history of this character. He would have been more interesting and the other characters wouldn't have been decimated all for the glory of Mustafa.

It is Suleimans mistake! Why people become parents if they aren't going to love their children equally! Bayazed was also fighting for his life as Mustafa. Historically Mustafas life was always in danger and he was almost killed many times. And he really loved his father, he was jealous even Ibrahim

What I feel, this series only painted the character of Hurrem in Grey, rest of the characters have been showed either as heoric, angelic or victims of nasty politics. Whereas every characters of this show are flawed and everyone is kind of victim by the internal politics. When you are in a powerhouse you can only do or die. Every characters kind of killed innocent ones, be it by their loyal slaves or by themselves. And every character chose themselves when it's up to their own life, and that is the only obvious thing about Human nature. Sometimes I feel the storytelling is a bit of biased. It's so sad that writers literally didn't explore so many strong characters like Mustafa, Ibrahim, Mehmet, even Rustem Pasha too

Hatice here was still close with Hurrem and she radiated positivity and warmth. God knows love made her lunatic -- it wouldn't even be "love" , just a blind obsession with an object and Ibrahim was this object, unfortunately. Anyway, I think all the characters suffered one or the other way. Even the magnificent Suleiman himself.😂 He suffered the existence of too many women around him (fighting for his attention).

Very sad but the jealousy of the princes was kindle from early age by the power hungry women who were competing with each other to be in the only woman on the king/ Sultan / emperors life . In the Qing dynasty the women were so evil that when one got pregnant they all wanted to eliminate the mother and infant . It was a time that one imperial consort killed more than 17 heirs to the throne to get her children on the line of succession. Even the empress killed so many women / children so her children didn’t have any problem ascending the throne . Those were pitiful days for children . They were just pawns in the hands of the mothers . No difference here . The women too were ruthless and did whatever it took to survive their hostile environment.

Hurrem actually was never that much in love with Suleiman...her main purpose for being with Suleiman was to achieve power more and more...and to set her child in the throne...One of her main purpose for being with Sultan was to become the Valide Sultan...my opinion..😊

@@himanshigupta6404 1. That was actually never proven true. There is little to no evidence to suggest Hurrem had anything to do with Mustafas's death, it was just rumoured. 2. Mustafa in real life was not like the Mustafa in this show. He would have most likely killed his half brothers and sent Hurrem and her daughter away when he became sultan. If Hurrem had something to do with his death, she was most likely protecting her sons. Put yourself in a parents shoes. would you want your children murdered? It was a dog eat dog world back then if she didn't get him first he was probably going to get her.

Of course, she probably didn't love him. This show romanticizes a truly horrible thing. Hurrem, like most girls in the harem, was a slave who was ripped apart from her family and home, forced give up her freedom to become a concubine and then forced to sleep with a stranger. You have to be very naive to believe that any of them were genuinely in love with the Sultan. They had to do what they did to survive and that was being favoured by the Sultan.
