Prince Solomon, with his closest man, Ibrahim Pargam Ibrahim receives the bad news in a hunt. His father Yavuz Sultan Selim Khan passed away. Prince Suleyman sets out for Istanbul without waiting. Prince Süleyman quickly reaches the capital. He attends the culus ceremony without waiting. His life changed in one day. He started his life as Sultan Süleyman.
Meanwhile, a galley loaded with slaves coming over the Black Sea is heading towards Istanbul. The hottest of the slaves is not yet aware that he is on a journey that will change his destiny. He is rebelling helplessly to return.
Sultan Süleyman wants to show what kind of sultan he is by the commands he gave on the first day of his sultanate. But not everyone will like these decisions. Sultan Süleyman does not hesitate to challenge all of Europe with the messages he sends.
Alex, despite all his rebellion, is brought to the Topkapi palace. His attitude attracted the attention of Valide Sultan from the first moment. But it won't be long before Alex learns the rules of the palace. He chooses a great target. Alex, Sultan Suleyman's first night on the way to attract his attention. Sultan Suleiman's wife Mahidevran just arrived from the palace of Manisa. He is looking forward to seeing his wife.

Sultan Süleyman, padişahlığının ilk gününde verdiği buyruklarla nasıl bir padişah olduğunu göstermek ister. Ama bu kararlar herkesin hoşuna gitmeyecektir. Sultan Süleyman ise gönderdiği mesajlarla, tüm Avrupa’ya meydan okumaktan çekinmez.

Mahidevran killed Prince Mehemet ... She had a beautiful son yet she manipulated him. Was it not to blame? A father loving all his children is perfectly normal. I dont think he made difference in his children. Mustafa was seperated from Sultan due to the underhand actions of Mahidevran and Ibrahim. Hurrem did not turn her children against each other. Mehemet and Chihangir loved Mustafa very much that's a proof of her bringing up.

You would think it's in her best interest that her kids don't like Mustafa all that much but she let the kids play and didn't encourage them to neglect him, unlike whay Mahidvran did

Not really. Their mothers were not evil or selfish, they just wished to survive. During their times only one prince became Sultan, only one mother Valide. The rest were killed, even brothers from the same mother suffered the same fate alongside their concubines, children and followers. Only one became ruler, and by law everyone else was executed to avoid the army and common people from supporting anyone else but the sultan and causing political chaos within the Sultanate. So they had to fight. All, but one, had to die. And of course as mothers, they both wanted and hoped their son would.

How? He went against his father and spoke about his parents relationships. He knows nothing about what his mother has done and why she cries all the time. He did by our standards, but go back 600 years to the era of this story. By many standards he was gentle and kind and thoughtful and generous. But she hadn't captured his heart and wanted to be treated as if she had . In fact she expected it. They wrote her character to have major narcissist traits. You don't get drama if everyone on the show is sweet. So Hurrem had major PTSD from being captured and mistreated by everyone except her kids and the sultan . Mahaidraven became the major Gillian in a story where everyone around her protects her

This move by Mahidevran and Mustafa was the worst thing they could've done. They drew a wedge between Father and Son. Mustafa should've never saw his mother cry or even speak about it to his father.This is the difference between Mahi and Hurrem. One uses her kid and the other doesn't. From here on out their relationship declines. Also why do some many of you feel sorry for Mahidevran, her biggest and I mean biggest mistake was sending Poison to the Sultans table!!! You cant say she was punished long enough, had the Sultan ate the dessert he could've been killed. This is unforgiveable and if you would forgive someone who would do such a thing I feel bad for you. Suleiman has been fair and just with her up to that point and everone else who forgave her were wrong as well especially Valide, Hatice and Ibrahim. Mahidevran head should've rolled for doing such a thing!!!

Eventually even Mustafa realized who his mother really was. That time when he realized Mahi would instinctively blame Hurrem for everything bad that ever happened, no matter how far removed Hurrem was from the situation. If Hurrem had been his mother, Mustafa could have reigned as sultan. He could have even ended the law of killing brothers, and instead made them governors of frontiers far from his own seat of power.

If mahidevran had just been patient she would have gotten what she wanted. Suleiman was very fair even if Mehmed was his favorite it would have been mustafa who would be sultan as he was older and had more governing experience.

Mehmet was his favourite, Hurrem was his love. Therefore Mustapha CANNOT be the next sultan. He had zero governance experience until he got to his sancak unlike his half brothers who were trained in the art of governance from very young age.

Nope, I would like to say 60 percent fictional and 40 percent real history. If you going to say: Oh sultans never had harem or they weren't womanizers like in this series. My answer will be yes they were womanizers and also great commanders at the same time. People think only Sultan Suleiman ruled Ottoman Empire but there were 36 different Sultan in ottoman history. Some of them didn't even leave the palace for years and they only enjoyed their sultanato in their palace. Murat III has 135 child from 43 different concubines so that means not all of the Sultans like Suleiman the Magnificent, Fatih the Conquerer or Selim the Grim.

@@EloraSelah yes. But remember, Hurrem had very powerful enemies, and still left that palace only as a corpse in a casket because of disease. No matter what they did or how hard they tried, Hurrem finally left on her own terms, not as a result of falling out of favor and getting exiled or executed. Quite the feat, considering the sharks she was dealing with, starting with the Sultan's mother and his prime minister/friend on down. 🤔

For real. Mustafa gets used as a way to keep Mahidevran around because it could hurt him to be separated from his mother but they rip Hürrem away from her kids without any thought for their wellbeing. Hürrem is no angel, but she really does get treated very unfairly

Here Mustapha is a capable and brilliant son and prince, but the dumb mahidevran caused all this trouble for herself, had she behaved her son wouldnt need to argue to suleiman, Mahidevrans careless actions caused mustapha to be disfavoured by suleiman

@@leylanagiyeva9061 Mustafa literally stood up in front of his father several times based on his mother's lies, that is why he was disfavoured, hurrems children never stood up to Suleiman. Suleimans favourite children were Mehmet and mihrimah, they never stood up to him.

@@richajain7753 Going off of that logic, why did Suleiman not confront Mahidevran about her lies? Mustafa was a CHILD and as his father, I would have hoped that he would have protected his son to some degree, but he was to busy pleasing Hurrem! To be completely honest, Suleiman is a terrible father in this show.

This was first fallen of Mustafa . whatever it is Sulemain love Mustafa more than Hurrem but Mahidveran jealousy built huge wall between father and son . she allowed to Hurrem children more attachment with Sultan. And Sulemian considered Hurrem children and Mustafa separately first time .

Fiction or non-fiction, i think mustafa deserves not to be a sultan because of mahidevran. She always boast the title and power of her son. She would not be a good valide if mustafa becomes the sultan.(don't be angry people, this is only my cent!✌)
