The Lost Crown is a side-scrolling action-adventure video game. The game's protagonist, Sargon, can jump, slide, and air dash to quickly travel between platforms. He can also use his pair of blades to defeat enemies. A well-timed parry will help build up Sargon's Athra's Glow, which allows him to unleash a special ability when it is completely filled. Player will have access to several time-based powers for both combat and platforming purposes. Rush of the Simurgh allows Sargon to instantly dash forward through time, while Shadow of the Simurgh lets him place a "shadow marker", which serves as a tempoarily checkpoint that players can return to instantaneously. Sargon can also be equipped with talismans that alter his abilities.
The game also includes elements commonly found in Metroidvania video games. The game world is interconnected and filled with shortcuts and secret rooms, and players have to solve various puzzles in order to progress. By exploring the game's world, players will find Time crystals, which can be used to purchase new upgrades for Sargon's weapons. Players may not immediately have the tools or skills to overcome an obstacle, though the game allows players to take screenshots and pin them to the game's map, allowing them to easily recognize and remember any unsolved puzzles they have encountered in their journey.

Everyone was talking about the man's race and is caught up in the title of the game. If you go to 2:08, he clearly is a new character, and he is not a prince at all but a soldier.

I’m really looking forward to this. Having played the original game in the early 90’s and been blown away by how good the movement/graphics were then I feel this is a worthy successor. Movement is everything in a PoP game, and the graphics look so good.

As soon as I saw some of the gameplay I pre-ordered. The Memory Shards feature seems like it will remove a lot of need for making our own notes or falling back on a guide.

I’ve pretty much shared your thoughts since the game was announced, that it looks nice and has a lot of potential. Fingers crossed they pull it off. Just wish it wasn’t published by Ubisoft so I could get it on Steam if it ends up being really good.

Thanks for the coverage. It's odd. The game looks really good in many ways, but something about it just isn't grabbing me at the moment. I have absolutely no criticisms at all and it's very possible I will end up picking it up but I am not as amped up as I am for Light no Fires or No Rest for the Wicked.

I don't know what to think on this game. It doesn't feel right. Not the 2d elements, PoPs 1 and 2 were 2d. No, it is the flash and abundant magic. It feels off. All the flash and little cinematics make me worry if this game will have a stop and start feel to the combat and movement. Getting into the flow of a level only to have to use an ability and lose all momentum. The heavy use of combat is also off. Before someone says Warrior Within, that game was still built on a platformer core. As for the magic, magic has been something that the protagonist has wandered into. An element of aw that is located at the far edges of the map. Something found, sought, or inflicted to the story. Here it seems to be a constant. PoP feels off for what is presented. A new IP may have fit better with less per existing themes and history. Hope it does well. I want hype to push a SoT trilogy remaster/remake.

I guess its just not my game: Would release it for 30 bucks and into gamepass...and personaly i cant see it at all....theres already games out that feel, look and play better...i truly wouldnt play it for 0 bucks....but if you can enjoy it go for it. Maybe its i dont fit with Ubisoft...since AC 3 they didnt bring out one game that i bought from them.

Iran is nowhere close to africa, but they had to make the "prince of persia" black. The PS2 trilogy prince looks like an average young Iranian man when you image search Iranian people. I'm sick of the blackwashing.

It's sad that if they just made prince of Persia people would play it, but discount "not the prince" just means they are making it for the IP grab/woke points and everyone sees through this lame marketing.
