RARE EARTH "I know I'm Losing You" ...........Rare Earth was the first big hit-making act signed by Motown that consisted only of white members. "Get Ready" is also a good tune, but I really like this one. Stevie Ray Vaughan & Jeff Healey - 'Look At Little Sister' (been awhile since you did any SRV tunes......Jeff Healey plays a mean guitar for a blind dude)

Marc Mann, of Lynne's band play's the first guitar solos. Steve Winwood Yamaha organ( is as good on guitar), Billy Preston on piano. Think drums and percussion is from Petty's band. Prince had free hands to play how he wanted! Spectacular!! Try out Winwood/ Clapton in Hendrix "Little wing" Live around ten years ago! Winwood on Yamaha lifts it!!

Prince has someone in his crew~he does that disappearing guitar into thin air move often. He has his guy positioned UP in those rafters that are above him on the stage when he's playing. He throws his guitar up and his guy catches it for him. 😉❤😎

I live 5 miles from Paisley Park and have always liked Prince, especially his 80s material, he was a great musician. However, after he passed all of these people online are saying he was one of the greatest guitar players ever.... this is just not true, in reality he wouldn't even be in the top 100. I have played for over 30 years and have respect for all guitar players.... Prince was good, but there are many guitar players out there with better phrasing and technical ability. I'm sure I will get hate for being honest but it is what it is.

@@bruinbro23 Anyone who doesn't love Prince's embellishment on the solo is just a bunch of sour grapes. Prince does his best when conveying emotions through his guitar and music. That IS one of his main strengths or gifts. Steve Ferrone the drummer for this performance walked over to Prince and introduced himself at rehearsal. To which Prince says I know who you are. Steve goes back to his drum set to warm up and he hears a guitar riff from a song that Steve wrote for the Average White Band. Prince is looking right at Steve. Steve thinks, Prince knows who I am. Prince always knows how to dominate a performance even when he's not the only legend on the stage. This is a Beatles song written by George Harrison who passed in 2001. That's his son Dhani behind Tom Petty, looking very much like his daddy! Steve Winwood had some GREAT songs! Among them, "Higher Love" "When You See A Chance" "Roll With It" "Valerie" And MANY others. I always liked Steve Winwood he had many hits!

This is one of my all time favorite jams. An all-star line up for a band, with Prince showing off one of his best talents. Hes such an awesome showman, and makes it look like its effortless. I also love your reaction to it. Its always great to see perfection appreciated. His man in front of the stage caught the guitar. You can see Prince glance downwards to make sure he caught it ok. Since I had never seen a Prince show live, I never really knew of his guitar talents until I heard the song "Lets go crazy" when it came out, and the guitar work in that song, plus the sweet solo at the end, sure caught my attention, like its catching yours now.

I remember when George died, it was in 2001 and the country was still very "sensitive" from 9-11 incident and I remember I cried. He was my favorite Beatle then my next was Paul.
