4 жыл бұрынPrincess Anne is being honored in an upcoming ITV documentary title, “Anne: The Princess Royal at 70,” which is set to air on her 70th birthday on July 29. In the special, she makes remarks about Erin Doherty, who plays her in “The Crown,” who has said it takes her hours to get ready in hair and makeup to play the royal. According to Anne, she only needs “10 or 15 minutes” to get ready.

The actress who they got to play Anne is probably the closest and most accurate casting on the entire show. They literally look like the old and young version of the same person in the thumbnail.

Princess Anne is the most authentic, classy, hardworking and strong royal family member. I lover her relationship with Prince Charles, she absolutely is her dad’s girl and her mummy’s strength.

Erin Doherty is probably the best casting on the entire show! Erin could literally be the Princess Royal at a younger age or her daughter, she looks SO much like her! She is so good at portraying Anne's personality aswell! Top job, Netflix!

Isabella Wyver-Northam I agree with you. Erin is well cast as Anne and Emma Corrin looks SO MUCH like Diana it's unbelievable. Gillian Anderson looks and sounds so much like Margaret Thatcher too. Josh O'Connor is too handsome to play Charles though. Claire Foy as the young Queen 👑 Elizabeth II is soot on too. The casting director should receive some kind of reward.

Erin Doherty is phenomenal playing Princess Anne! I couldn't believe it was actually not the real Anne!! I'm American, but have always loved the British Royal Family, especially Anne. She tells it like it is and what you see is what you get! I love the line in The Crown where she compares herself to Princess Diana. Something like: "Beautiful her, ugly me. Classy her, dumpy me," or something like that.

Princess Anne is funny when saying how could it take so long to fix the hair when it only takes her about 10 or 15 minutes. They did a good job on the Crown of her. She is one of my favorite on & off screen. She has always been beautiful loyal & humble.

She is funny, and such a dry sense of humour. It’s the off the cuff comments that you hear as the camera has sometimes panned away over the years that let you see the real character. She was so attractive as a young woman so it’s a shame her clothes, hair and her image have always been a bit dated as she got older, but it’s just not her thing and fair enough. She has never been a clothes horse and probably would never have taken any advice anyway. I think Zara Phillip’s natural and easy character is indicative of the kind of no nonsense character her Mother is.

Highly recommend it. Very good. I've listened to it more than watched, because it plays while I'm doing household chores and maintenance. Sometime I'll sit and relax and See it - - cinematography is gorgeous.

*Queen Look at Queen Elizabeth, she's the Queen. The title of *King* is only for male heirs, I believe. Also, if Prince Charles ever abdicates (which he probably will since he married a divorcee) Prince William will become King. Princess Anne may never become Queen sadly, but she's a wonderful Princess Royal!
