I think peach is a part of a family where it’s connected from Mario’s family: for example, jumpman is an original game of the old Mario so I was thinking the brunette haired peach is related to peaches family. I was thinking if I’m the Mario movie ll, peach meets the planet earth and finds her parents for the first time while there was a scene where yoshi is opening his shell but yoshi is Mario’s adoptive father so I’ve saw the whole Mario movie and he grew up with his parents, but in the original games, Mario was in mushroom kingdom as a baby and yoshi was his adoptive father, it’ doesn’t make sense when yoshi is newborn and mario is older than him.

No it was due to technical limitations. They didn’t have that blond color. She was always supposed to be blonde. Even “Lady” or “Pauline” was shown on the donkey Kong arcade cabinet depicted as a blonde. But her sprite was reddish brown looking in game. Which I’m surprised you didn’t know 🎉
