I'm curious about printing in extended gamut. Never heard of it before. I did some googling and a lot of the articles seem to be talking about the potential of the printing process versus any places actually offering the services, the ones I found tend to be focused on product packaging. I really like the idea of extended gamut, because I use a lot of fuchsias and it doesn't print well using CMYK. Do you work with a printing company that does extended gamut printing for prints and/or comics?

Its still isn't mainstream due to cost, as you said its used more in packaging. What i tried to convey in the tutorial its to not limit ourselves by the cmyk standard. A lot of inkjet printers can print vibrant colors close to the rgb values & by working in cmyk its possible we work with duller & darker colors. Sorry if i was misleading, thats an area i want to research further too. I hope the industry lower the cost and extended gamut becomes mainstream. Blessings

14:06 hello, does this mean it’s fine for existing images to get printed without getting back to each of their clip files to convert? Thank you..

Yes, the Printer RIP will manage the color convertion. Ask your printer service anyway what they prefere. and remember color could change due to medium & printing method, specially really saturated colors.
