I get what you mean. I agree that Priscilla exploited her relationship with Elvis. But I felt that the film tries more to portray a feeling of not knowing if you made the right decision, if you didn’t realize what you are committing yourself to. In my opinion, I think they did a great job at that. Great comment. 👍

Great comment. Didn't Priscilla live with Vernon to start with? There were also the Memphis Mafia people. Priscilla was nearly 18 years old at the time. She married Elvis when she was almost 22. Her mother and stepfather and the manager Colonel Tom Parker helped arrange the marriage, I think.

But she had plenty of people in the house with her, and Elvis had told the wives to be friends to her, so she had moral support. But of course, Priscilla turns even that kindness on Elvis' part into a negative, stating, "my friends were chosen for me". Of course, even with a car and plenty of free time she was too stupid to make friends on her own I guess.

She didn't have to marry Elvis or live with him that was her choice along with her parents who wanted her to marry him. I don't understand why Elvis had to be the provider for Priscilla and her parents? Elvis had a lot of friends but a lot took advantage of him and his kindness. He loved his family he was a family man. Graceland was bought for his mother Gladys. There was also Pasty Presley his cousin. I think at the start Priscilla lived with Elvis' Dad Vernon? It was like Elvis was the father for all these people even for his Dad because Elvis was the main breadwinner. I don't think Priscilla is stupid she is clever. I think part of the blame is also with her mother and stepfather. It all sounds so calculated. Colonel Tom Parker also exploited and took advantage of Elvis. Priscilla thought about being a model at one point. Later she had the fashionable clothing store. Later she became an actress and buinessnesswoman. She preferred the LA life to Graceland and Memphis. She could do all the shopping she liked. She gave the impression to Elvis at first that she didn't want her own career but she obviously likes the celebrity showbiz elite world of Hollywood. Elvis didn't like Scientology and later she became a Scientologist. I think she was brought up Roman Catholic. Elvis was a Southerner but she wasn't.

She opened it when it wasn’t hers to open. She was Elvis’s ex not his widow. It was for her love of $$$$. She found another way to get the Presley estate and her fame. Maybe if you read, “Child Bride,” you would discovered more about Priscilla. Her own daughter’s inheritance was robbed by Priscilla and the Scientology establishment she gave to and squandered millions of money. Elvis’s legend would have continued on without Priscilla. Graceland as well. Why did Lisa disliked her own mother? Do more research and you will find out Priscilla was suing Elvis for more money before he died. The man was going bankrupt because of his ex. She never had enough. He had to work tirelessly from job to job. He did drugs and couldn’t sleep. Maybe Priscilla was the cause. Why did Lisa overdose and was so unhappy? Priscilla said he was the love of her life. She also said, she needed to move on apart from Elvis and be able to do her own thing. But she’s still there and with Graceland and Elvis. Ask yourself why. She’s used to having wealth and more so as a “Presley.” She dropped his name once then after his death, reattached it. Is that moving on away from Elvis? Elvis will never be forgotten. He is 1 in a million. Priscilla is still eating from his table and will continue to do so until she is exposed.
