Morning Josh, I was watching some of your older content from as far back as 5 years ago and man you were so much harder back then, you looked and behaved with such intensity. These days you have mellowed and become a truly rehabilitated family man while continuing to help prepare, change lives and even save lives of convicts which makes you a damn good person. You should be proud of yourself. I'm not a criminal but just like with a great movie that has a solid lead actor your content is fascinating and some of what you teach can apply to non convicts as well . Prison desensitized me fast. The first time I saw someone stabbed up, I thought " he needs help." After the second, third, and fourth, I thought " he fucked up". After awhile I just shook my head. If you want to survive in prison, keep your business to yourself and stay out of others' businesses. As far as standing with someone and sharing the outcome no matter what happens, that is a decision that you will literally live or die for

Bruh, in a town called Waupun Wisconsin, there is a prison literally in the middle of a neighborhood called waupun correctional institution. Walking around there is hilarious because if someone gets out they have access to any home within 30 feet of the outermost walls of the property

My mother's husband gave me a black eye yesterday for drinking. No, I didn't press charges. I had to convince them it wasn't a domestic issue or else they would have to physically make an arrest as you know. Shout outs to the cops that showed up, they're not all bad.

It’s getting kinda bad up north here in WI. Every goes up to Waupun or Green Bay correctional. And when they get released, a lot of them stay up north. And remain criminals. It’s hard to get back down south to Milwaukee and the surrounding areas especially if they don’t have anyone to come home to or anywhere to go. Madison, Green Bay…both are getting kinda scummy in certain areas.

I live and work in Wisconsin, I used to work with minimum security prisoners from Cambridge Thompson Correctional Facility. I became close with a few, one of told me he was raped in Flambeau Wisconsin prison.

My mother had all kinds of stories. She worked at chino men's prison. Her partner Gonzalez was killed by an inmate because he was doin backdoor deals with the different races. Ended up getting stabbed multiple times by this inmate Blaylock I believe.

The county jails here in Philly, they have the river separating Philly from NJ and on the other side of them, there's neighborhoods but the old state prison that's actually haunted and is used as a haunted house during Halloween called "Eastern State Penitentiary" is a old prison surrounded by houses and neighborhoods.. usually all of the older prisons that were built in the late 1800s early 1900s are built near residential neighborhoods

Guy I knew told a prison story about how some dude “greased him down” before a fight and that meant the guy was cool. I never knew wtf that meant and was afraid to ask 😂

In my opinion, prisons need to be "privatized" with a governmental dictate on certain guidelines and a "subsidy" if done right. This might create the competition needed in providing better prison conditions. I'm high AF and probably wrong but it seems like a good idea right now!!

Believe Chris watts or whatever his name is was at that prison same time I was. Wasn’t in same area obviously. Did 2 months there and it was 23-1 sometimes 24 cuz staff shortage. Great vid Josh. That Sleepy CO is actually super corrupt and you can look up cases he’s had for use of force. Also locally, there are a lot of rumors he struggles with alcohol abuse and is drunk on the job a lot

My buddy did 4 years in Green Bay. He didn’t come out the same.

I was in here in the early '90s. Fortunately only on the bus for a quick transfer to minimum after I just got done doing a 7-year bid was getting transferred Just out of town to sanger powers correctional center then paroled out about 5 months later they called GB gladiator School. It was really bad back then probably considered one or the worst in the state nobody wanted to go there. I still drive by here almost every day for work. I'm a local semi truck driver for like the last 23 years now. this prison is currently old as hell the town people do not want it there. They had an article in the paper about tearing it down and building a strip mall. Pretty much everyone wants it to go. I moved north of Green Bay about a hour and a half way back in the sticks. Have a beautiful lodge home on some sizable acreage. Finally got myself together after all that setback in the penitentiary

I tell you what, I've done a total of at least 8 years out of life total and my longest was 5 years straight. Not a lot of time compared to alot of cats, but seemed like it to me. I did time in 3 max joints and been to a minimum. I would rather be in a max, but the hardest was cook county in the chi. Actually did time in east Moline where Kevin gates was my celly

My brothers doing a 15 piece right now, tells me it's terrible..... Actually I remember him being pissed off about this very incident in the second part of the video, had the hole joint on lockdown for a few months

I live about an hr from green bay, there is a lot of ppl protesting! They have been on lockdown for a while, as well as Waupun Correctional. This facility has been deemed unsafe for staff and inmates. It needs to be closed down and replaced!! Usual politics!!

I can't imagine property value behind a prison would be too high lol
