Sabrina, you are one in a million!! Very few daughters-in-law would be so forgiving and accepting of Justin's parents You should be so proud of yourself for being such a kind adult Their traditions have limited their interactions, and so many people would not be accepting of that This is a huge step I hope it continues

I guess you meant Sarah. One of the daughters is Sabrina. She is indeed one in a million. She has a beautiful soul. Am not sure tolerating racism, sexism and maltreatment is something she wants to emulate for any of her children. It appears that Justin from his childhood has been conditioned to see this type of behavior as normal. Her in-laws are rude and abusive. That nonsense about having shingles if that was the case why did she cook if she's sick why leave the house at all when Justin could have picked his dad up? She really didn't want to interact with his wife. That's the simple truth and it's sad to know as women that they (both herself and her daughter) are more hateful to Sarah than his dad is... If we don't think it's right to tolerate abuse and horrible behavior from other people why is it ok to excuse it when family does it? Isn't abuse and disrespect abhorrent behavior and should be broadly condemned and rejected by all civilized and functional people?

Justin’s dad has always been the most reasonable and I’m certain that he wanted to be there wayyyyy before this day. He just accepted his wife and daughter’s views.. He knows that his grandson is his legacy and will continue his family lineage. Regardless of how he feels he loves his son, he loves his grandchildren. He accepts his daughter-in-law. I will say this, I know his mom wants to go and build a relationship but they have let it go so long that her ego won’t let her and that is a sad place to be.

As a black woman, married to a Korean man, whose parents disowned him at our marriage…, I used to watch your videos all of the time because it was so relatable. After nine years, my father-in-law finally started to come around and speak to me. Now that we’ve been in contact for the last two years, we have such an amazing relationship. It touches my heart every time that he calls and ends that conversation with “ I love you.” I pray that you make it to where I am now with my in-laws.❤

This young wife/mother has a heart of gold. She could let her ego retaliate against her In-laws and no one would blame her. But she prioritizes her husband and children over her ego. When her in-laws are ready to accept her, she will receive them. Not many women would be able to do that.

You write the truth. They are all receiving prayers I’ve read in this comment section; I’m new, 1st vlog I ever watched of theirs. & you articulated my thoughts exactly. I personally believe your daughters softened their hearts. And Jayden, being a boy, sealed the deal. Plus you asked them….as grandparents to look after the girls during Jayden’s birth. Making them feel important and included despite that they were the one to break the tie. But, make no mistake, boys are sooooo important in the olden Asian culture which has somehow permeated through this modern era Congratulations! Though for all your efforts! This came about with your relentless pursuit to have their grandparents in their lives

I’m so sorry that this is your reality.I hope the girls get all the information and get to make the decision when they are older, if they want to have anything to do with Justin’s family. You need to get a video bell. Throughout everything Justin's regard for his parents has never diminished, it may have wavered a little but he has so much hope. It has to be noted how Korean the children look, this in no small part has been a catalyst for the parents interest. Now a boy has been added, their cups are overflowing. The soup was a nice gesture and I look forward to something more welcoming and penitent on their behalf toward Sarah happening. Baby steps but they could be significant. Happy 100 Days Jaden 🎉

Happy to hear the good news. Love Jayden’s smile! Wishing you all the best. Your constant patience and kindness is exemplary. You countered every thought of “war” with a thought of “peace.” World peace starts within one’s heart, is transmitted to those around us, and multiplies.

That’s family love and sometimes all people need is time(or a boy child) to adjust. Waiting for them to come around is not easy but they want to be a part of their grandchildren’s lives, share their culture and make memories. My husband and I had a similar experience with my in-laws. They’re Korean and I am Zambian. His grandma on the other hand was welcoming she said in her Korean soaps operas interracial relationships are normal and she asked his parents to get over it. She only spoke Korean, but we were able to communicate in our own way. Every Tuesday my husband and grandma had a date, sometimes I would tag along but I preferred to give them their time together. And she would fuss with him not to give me coffee because it’s not good for conception 😂. For his parents I believe we shared 2 thanksgiving meals over the years. It was veryyyy slow progress. Right before COVID my husband’s grandmother was fighting cancer. she was in the hospital where I became her advocate with hospital staff(I have healthcare experience and there was also a language barrier for my in-laws) then moved to a nursing home and wouldn’t trust anyone to touch or even bring her food except me. Without hesitation I jumped into the caregiver role(it was an honor because I never got to take care of my own grandmother in her last days). I went in to check on her every morning before work, drive back during lunch, then after work to spend time and help out with her care. My in-laws offered to pay me which I declined, She died in 2019. There was a shift with our relationship with my in-laws after her passing. I never forced myself on them, when they were ready we decided to let the past go and make the most of life. Exactly a year after her passing we conceived. We have a daughter now and they look forward to spending time with her. May God continue to repair your relationship and kudos to you both for having open arms and hearts to them. Sometimes we teach people love and forgiveness by showing them 🙏🏾🤎
