what a great musician he was. He is the only singer I know of who makes the younger and new singers feel comfortable singing with him. I have not listened to SPB's songs with devotion, but watching him perform on stage has made me an ardent fan of his.

Late SPB sir is seen creating a humorous atmosphere leading to a huge laughter from audience which also brought lot of confidence in Priyanka who was accompanying him in the music concert. SPB's magical performance makes audience spell bound. Audience were seen overjoyed by the great SPB's scintillating action packed musical extravaganza. Sadly, we have lost a great artiste of the century.

I had the honor of introducing the legendary SPB in 1997, as President of Michigan Tamil Sangam...when he gave a musical performance in Metro Detroit... The year 1997, btw, was the 50th anniv of India's independence...and a gala event was also organized by ALL Indian associations at the Pontiac Silverdome (now sadly demolished! :( ) Greatly enjoyed this song too...and abv all SPB's humbleness that is quite clear here :)

What a gentleman, he knew how nervous this little girl will be singing for the first time with him.. He first made her comfortable before starting the singing! He never showed his seniority throughout!

I learned tamil language through your voice I learned how one can smile through eyes I learned how simplicity can help one reach heights I learned to differenciate divine skills from artificial skills I learned how tamilnadu and its people to be sweet as your voice I learned how your voice consoled me at tough phase of my life each night hearing your voice I learned how I cannot recover from the news of you leaving us! .
