I learned 22 years ago on vinyl. From watching my favorite djs very closely at raves then going home and practicing trial and error. Took me 5 years for the confidence for my first gig.. And im still learning from Carlos's videos lol..

To assist some of the newer people to DJing, I saw you post the tracklist, but are you allowed to wish post the artist and if it is a remix which one it is? Might be also a nice idea to plug your favorite record pool(s) or website(s) where they can get the music. Thanks for everything you do ✌️

Finally a Traktor Controller Video, please more! How were you doing the echo effect? Was it the Wormhole macro effect? I've also tried simulating the echo effect with the single delay using freeze but that is annoying since the delay takes up the whole FX bank.

Traktor kontrol S4 MK3 and Traktor 3. I love it this Dj Kontroller and software. Traktor is more versatile. You could Dj any type of music and produce your own music. 🥳🎉🎊🙌🏽💪🏼

I've been told Traktor is usually more popular with producers because of that! Though I believe that you can DJ with any kind of music no matter what software you have.

Hey Carlo! Longtime Traktor fan here, that mixer colorway is tight! I am curious, have you ever tried the S4 MK3 "Screen Hack" software? Used it in live situations before without issue and it unlocks a pretty incredible amount of workflows to choose from. I'd love to talk about it!

I've heard about it, but I much prefer looking at my Laptop than looking at the tiny screens on my S4 lol But yes. That is an amazing feature, but I have no interest in using it :(

Can you post some DnB mix on that controller? ……… …. Also: You’re a Smart Guy!! ……. Watch your audience double overnight, as a Traktor user for more than 12 years, I can tell you, there’s a big chunk of the entire DJ culture using Traktor or any Native Instruments (Software and/or Hardware), the S4 MKIII is most definitely a Game Changer, and it has been ever since it’s inception a few years back, and still as relevant, they just changed the color. Thanks for the Inclusion!! lol …….. the S8 is very fun to play with also (Jogwheel Free).

This. After getting the s4 mk3 I was so happy with it, it made djing even more fun than it already is. also, a whole load of friends who all use pioneer with serato were amazed by both the traktor hardware and softare and said if they were to choose again they would go for traktor. Also, the S4 mkIII is sexy as hell!!

Traktor does sound sooooo much better than the others. Only lets itself down by not making friendly performance features

Hi Carlo, from a longtime viewer! :) how would you say these deck comparture to turntables , rane 1, rane 12, ns7, im looking for a real turntable feel and pretty satisfied with the ns7iii but its huge, does this compare well?

Oh man, nothing can really replicate real turntables for me, but the Rane 12s come very close.

I got and learned on a worn out gen 1 S4 starting last year. I want this controller pretty badly as a upgrade. It looks so good.

What are your thoughts on this controller? Specially those motorised jog wheels? I used to DJ (EDM) many years back with turntables and feeling nostalgic to get some thing reasonably priced like this controller without spending too much on Rane.. A bit undecided because it's tied into Traktor software and not usable with other softwares.

I personally liked it! But the lack of Traktor updates is an issue for me. I wish this controller was more open for use with other software, but can't have everything!

@@djcarlo- fair opinion - I use S4Mk3 since they released it - Traktor is not the best soft anymore (bugged and slow). I thought it would be supported by Virtual DJ but NI didn't put out HID code for the controller and so, motorized jogs, haptic and screens are not supported - only the basics (which is also done by custom mapping).

How does one mix songs with which they are unfamiliar ? How does one know where to cue things up and to scratch and cross fade tracks? I’ve been wondering about that 🧐🤨

Ah! That's where preparation comes in! The thing is, it's never wrong to go out of your comfort zone, but knowing how a song is structured is very important, so I always recommend tinkering with the songs before you play a gig with them. Otherwise, you might mess up the timing, the lyrics, etc. with your transitions.

Please help, in this controller can I use the crossfader for scratch samples in deck C or D while A or B is playing? Because in S3 I cannot use crossfader for scratch for deck C and D. In S3 crossfader is only for deck A and B. I hope you understand what I am trying to say.

My Vapor Gray Controller came on xmas eve and its an absolute beast, best thing is only 125 made world wide of each colour. Feel for the U.S only minimum units.
