After being engaged your smile is even better. Also Grant appears to be glowing. At this moment rioting is going on in some of our larger cities by young people. It is refreshing to see you two (and dad!) being so motivated and happy.

I just subscribed to your channel (57yo from Belgium), and find myself smiling all through your videos. Unfortunately I know nothing about farming, different crops, machines, etc. and I miss some more detailed explanations and background info here and there. Maybe you already explained a lot of stuff in previous videos I didn’t see yet ... But your enthousiasm sure deserves lots of thumbs up . 👍

What their doing is only an estimate of what the crops may yield. Yield isn’t truly known until it’s harvested and delivered to the elevator or end user.

This is specifically going out to random fields to get data so that farmers can figuire out the yield for their crops. Atleast thats what I understand from looking it up.

@@micah_lee I also goes in a federal system so an estemation of the national crop production. And prices depend on this figures. Lots of corn make prices drop on an instant.

Hello, I think your channel is really great! I'm really impressed by what gigantic areas you have! I wish you all the best and stay healthy. Sunny greetings from Bocholt (Germany) 5km away from the neighboring country Netherlands. PS: There has been hardly any rain here for months! The farmers here have almost all the irrigation systems in their fields that run around the clock so that everything does not dry out. We urgently need rain !!!

Great video as always, Laura! About 90% of the commodity around my area is cattle and hay so I always like seeing videos about yield testing other crops. Personally, my favorite crop is dessert! Don't get me wrong, the corn looks good, but I think y'all would make a lot more money if you started growing ice cream cones. Lol! Keep up the great work and have a great rest of the day - Everett

It's funny ppl still do this crop tours and still can't look at corn field and bean field to estimate what their yields going to be but I guess they want a true number but most times they are off bc of mother nature isn't always right

I know you briefly touched on this before, but does just the region use it? USDA? Does it change what you do next year? What about all the other variables with the growing process?
