Strenx is the most successful duel player when it comes to online 1v1 tournaments. He has taken more than 100 online cups (zotac, gdata, 125fps). He is spectating and commenting between 2 elite players playing each other. How to play, what they need to do, what are their mistakes, and more. Maps that are played are Blood Covenant and Blood Run. Strenx is also attending QuakeCon2018. If you enjoy his content please sub/donate and follow him: / strenx

As someone very new to Quake (this is my first week) I found this incredible. I've played a little and watched the streams of top players, but this is my first dose of commentary. It really drives home how much macro thinking is in this game and the benefits of knowing each map to perfection. Was still on the fence about dedicating real time to this game, but this video might just have convinced me. Thanks!

That poor cat, all it's doing is responding to this crazy Frenchie. The weird french guy keeps talking, the cat assumes (naturally) that he is talking to the cat, right? Why on earth would he be talking to himself? Of course a cat is gonna talk back when you talk to it. That's how communication works. So why on earth would he be talking to himself so much? Because he is a psychotic person obsessed with games who does not understand humans or animals. FUCKING. INSANE. Not sure why he expects a CAT to comprehend that. Oh yeah, I forgot. Fucking insane.

Hello. First of all, i thank you a lot for this video. I think that, begginers, we need more records like this one, a pro player explaining the plays, the sense of each move. All the time we see amazing matches, with casters telling the match and hearing their surprise, but we (noobs) dont understand the cause some especif actions, or wich is the best move under some situations. I am practicing for a tournament (Quake SAT #1), that it will be carry out at this weekend, on Sunday. I take a lot of notes from this videos that i am going to put on practice right now. My nickname is Liix, and i will suscribe to your channel, you won it.

damn it's annoying how negative he is if he's doing any mistakes, if I was the player and would see how he comment on all that I would quit I would feel like a total noob and those two aren't that bad... but interesting to hear a pros inside and thought process how he would react, would be nice if more pro player would do that just 30-60 min. is enough to learn a lot

wtf are you talking about? this has nothing to do with anything I said... he often is very frustrated and only says "mistake, mistakes, this was a mistake, oh no no, what is he doing, why are you doing this" etc. in a very frustrated way without any constructive criticism or what he could have done better, it's just whining about how bad he plays, I'm talking about those moment. I wanted to hear what he could have done differently in those situations but he said it himself at 15:50 min. ... but still like I said interesting to hear what he has to say most of the time but coaching is not for him ^^

Max Mustermaeenn “coaching is not for him” no, his coaching is not FOR YOU. This is exactly the kind of coaching I like. No besting around the bush, it’s “here is what you are doing wrong.” At that level of play, the guys already know that they are decent at quake, they don’t need congratulating for hitting a shot or making a jump or whatever. They want to improve. And the way you improve is to work out what you are doing wrong and how to improve it, which is exactly what he is doing. Every time he says “that was a mistake” he immediately follows up with why it was a mistake and what he should have done. So maybe it just isn’t for you, but this was a fantastic video.
