Even the inexpensive Furman SS6B 6 Plug Surge Protectors and Furman M-8Lx rackmount units can help immensely in a home environment. We have line noise that is audible in our house through the studio monitors and no other line filtering products we've tried do anything to reduce the noise. The Furman products completely remove the noise. I plug the Furman into the wall first, and everything gets plugged into them (computer, UPS, monitors, etc.). We've just started using Furman products at work for our servers, too, where we go through a lot of equipment due to bad power.

Did you wire the studio properly with something like star grounding? Or is it just piggybacked outlets across the room creating a ground Loop?

Awesome...thank you! Does the UPS have different outputs for digital vs analogue gear please?

My question has always been, how does one truly know their getting "clean" power?...... Would be great if these P.Cond items can be tested with an EMI Meter

Can you recommend a resource to obtain the power factor pro unit? They are apparently no longer in production.

which do you recommend for amp sims. i already have a ups and a furman power conditioner plus a di box with the ground lift turned on and im still not getting as clean or consistent signal as i should. im in an old apartment so that definitly explains the problem.

What other gear besides the computer and screen do you have connected to the UPS?

Furman subsidized, best thing you can get is a balanced power transformer, before RFI and filtering, hands down, no argument
