For those who don't know, Zac Hill, one of commentator, has moved out R&D to Future Project in New York City. Meaning that this is last commentating he will ever do, I have great respect for him and you should too because he contribute to the game more than you. Best of Luck, Zac Hill.

Not only was their no sound during the sideboard plan but these sideboard videos were prerecorded so it's not even like the sound was messed up live...

The playlist of the top 8 coverage is completely fucked up. Semifinals are before the quarterfinals, and quarterfinals are all out of order. Finished round 16, autoplay went to the next video, and it was a semifinals match. The MTG youtube channel does this every PT they cover, don't know how they fuck it up every time...

I'm a little new to Magic, but I was wondering in Game 2 why couldn't Yuuya have just Stoked the Flames Ari's Sorin after it was played but before he declared it to make a vampire token? Is there some sort of weird priority thing I'm not understanding here? Seems to me like you'd rather kill one threat completely before allowing it to make another.

Yes, it's a priority rule : when Sorin entered the battlefield, the priority went to Ari, therefore he could declare to make the token. Yuuya could have Stoked Sorin and kill him then in response, but the token would still have been created. ( btw I'm french, so I hope that all I've said has a sense ^^)

Olivier Benazet No, that makes sense. Priority rule is a bit of a murky area for me since it seems like we often streamline our play in magic to a point where we almost ignore the priority rule.

Im sure he made a token instead to play it safe so he would have a back incase of removal and would have been stuck with a defender until he drew into something lethal again.
