Moral of the story: you blueball Pat Patterson, you get blackballed.

It was well known Pat Patterson had a thing for young boys but you can't blame McMahon but he still should never have took him back after the allegations in 92

Bruno Sammartino and Joe DiMaggio are both legends of gigantic proportions in the 20th century. My point was Bruno Sammartino is to wrestling what Joe DiMaggio is to baseball. They are icons much larger to the fabric of America than the sports themselves.

I really like the way Phil Donahue conducted his show. He obviously did research about the subject matter, he kept the interviewees under control, and he knows how to clarify the comments of others. I just wish there were still others like him around today.
@TheHannibalTV10 жыл бұрын
He did a show with AWA 7 years or so before this that showed wrestling in a much more positive light. The announcer had his case settled by WWE in the end.

Vince kept Pat Paterson who still works for the comp'y & is Godfather of Stepanie McMahon. Pat not long ago has admitted he is gay. Vince was 47 in '92, to believe he didn't know what went on in wwf when he was 33, is not convincing. Vince started in business in late 60's. Vince's body language & eye expression say's it all.
@Listman118 жыл бұрын
Vince admitted to Congress that steroids and drugs were a problem. Every wrestler is still on steroids and drugs. For Vince to claim ignorance is laughable at best and criminal at worst.

John Arezzi, Vince Russo was the financial backer of John's radio show from 1993-1995. The two also did a newsletter together until they had a split. John also got Vince Russo a job in the WWF as a magazine editor.

Donahue: "If you don't fix this, you're not going to be able to give these tickets away" For all the good points that Donahue makes, I disagree with the above. Look at all of the scandals in sports, it's only gotten worse over the years, people are aware, but the crowds still come. Look at the people in the music industry and how many people buy their albums and tickets, no matter what trouble they cause. Bread and circuses will always find an audience.

So if wrestlers spoke about misconduct and bad treatment they saw and recieved, they were blacklisted and could not work anywhere, as far as I am concerned this is why wrestlers need a union to protect themselves.

Whenever a wrestler was percieved to be or was "playing" a homosexual, the announcer would say he was a student of the Terry Garvin School of Self-Defense. Hulk Hogan and many other wrestlers have talked about Pat Patterson's aggessive overt sexual advances. If male employees of any company treated female coworkers in the same manner, and it was ignored so blatently, the lawsuits would bankrupt the enity.
