Luminar neo is useful but it lacks a lens profile correction. It only has an auto detect lens correction but it does not load the lens profile for accurate correction. Unfortunate and I hope they implement this soon.

I have the same program. Had luminar Ai before. I bought it for 76 euro and its really worth it. But especially with denoise Ai it's world's behind light room. But better than nothing

I tried this software a couple of years ago. Using Sony A7III raw files. It was really slow and the raw files had really odd colours. Nothing looked right. So I went back to Capture One. Has Luminar improved since then?

What i recognized seeing others using luminar and also from myself in the beginning - this software invites you with it's easily accessible features to absolutlely over-editing your photos. Happens real fast that you move from a nice decent editing to an absolute extreme overedited photo. Maintaining the balance is a hard lesson to learn with this one.

I use the Topaz AI now. Also incredible results but less options to tweak. Not sure if I need Luminar for my projects. But thanks for pointing them out.

The object removal would be why I would buy this program. I have a number of shots where some object or person is in the frame of an otherwise perfect shot. Now, I think I could actually properly remove these from those shots. What a gift that is.

I own Luminar AI, and missing lens profiles in Luminar (AI and Neo) is a deal breaker for me most of the time. If the ability to use manufacturer lens profiles is added in a future release, I can definitely see myself using Luminar for much more of my editing. And that's probably the only reason I'd upgrade from AI to Neo. Perhaps it's just me and my cr*ppy distorted lenses? And no, even with all of its fancy AI features, Luminar still can't correct distortion as well as the manufacturer lens profiles on my lenses.

Good video, however, stay with the basis. You might have stepped outside your skill set. The program is exceptional and improving. Accent and structure are the next step after the basics.

Going back to film? How about plates like Ansel? Paper and colors or just a pencil? Inks on a cave wall? It’s here to stay and will become a part of the profession. Change has always been hard until it’s the norm.
