She is trying to find a balancing point between oriental spiritism and Christianity. It's impossible. There is no match. We cannot compromise the teachings of Christ for her unhealthy interests in oriental spiritism and new-age ! Great work Mr. Brian. Keep up the good work !! May God Bless you more and more everyday !

don't be so sure. This dame may be an extremist, but she may not be completely wrong. After all, God had a plan all along to get his flock back together. There are elements of truth around the world. There is a lot in Chinese history that has hints of Christianity. Even around the world in the Americas, some Indigenous have the right idea. Many embrace Christianity. Even in the Bible Jesus spoke of the americas, his other sheep who know his voice. Nothing is so clear as you want to make it be... By the way, that is rich coming from a catholic, saying you do not want to compromise the teachings of Christ. OK show me where did Christ teach that we should call each other Father, or have a pope, or pray to Mary, or go to purgatory or all these other non biblical things the catholics have added in to their religion

There are a lot of wonderful faithful Catholic Sisters but there are also a lot that believe they have good intentions but stray far from the Church's teaching. I hope they come to see that the Church contains everything we need we don't need to look anywhere else and I hope that they don't lead anyone else astray. We desperately need more young women to commit to religious vocation!

For catholics who keep complaining about the bad happenings in our Church and keep criticizing the bad church leaders but they themselves keep sinning and don't live holy lives, all I can say is you and those bad church leaders are no different from each other. Both of you wound and destroy the Church by your repeated grievous sins. Hypocrisy is your additional sin. Read Matthew 7:3-5

I was in one of a religious family and they had siminars after siminars, conference after conference, short courses etc.... with resource persons like learnerd priest who are doctors of different philosophical disciplines teaxhing about conciousness, subconciousness, Indian spirituality, celebrating the Eucharist using all Indians terms and prayera from Gita ir Bhagwagita etc........ is so confusing really that at times conciousness becomes more important than the one who create it...... no wonder this nun is so well learned that she is so well confused.

The Catholic Church should be mindful to not select booklet publications they offer to their parishioners for daily reflections/devotionals that include writings from this Joyce Rupp. The enemy surely has a way of spreading so-called "truth" through books and music that we need to be on guard.

1) If booklet publications offered to parishioners for daily reflections /devotionals include questionable teachings or writings by questionable persons, then the parish priest ( and other assisting priests) is / are responsible for the same. He is responsible to see that the contents of the booklets are in accordance with Scriptures and not contrary to it. He may need to get the authorisation or permission of his bishop. And the priest /s should be able to explain their contents to the laity. 2) Complaints about such booklets should FIRST be made to the PARISH PRIEST (and the other priests) in the parish church community BEFORE being made to the BISHOP of that diocese.

With such heterodox beliefs, why is she still in her religious order? She is a Servite Sister [OSM], which is in full communion with Rome, and has a number of Saints and Blesseds. Why does the Order tolerate her.

Can you do a bit on Stephen Covey. He is also "New Age" and Mormon ideas. My sister has been led astray by him and other New Age influencers.

I personally have not seen any problems with him, do I have only read his book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. And there was nothing in that book that was new age or problematic that we remember reading. But then again it's more of a business books so I'm not sure. We are not familiar with his other works.

We need to pray the Rosary for her. I know others who have this multifaith belief but really it's a personal issue they have thats not fully fixed so they stay in limbo. Also it sells books to have a personal unique spirituality were you are you own God, Pope and Catechism

Well, the CDF has been changed by Pope Francis and it's severely problematic itself now. I think it's even been re-categorized and does not have the authority used to. God have mercy. But that would be one reason why. Also they've been very soft of late ever since Pope Benedict left.

If free for people to take, then perhaps real Catholics should just take the books and trash them away. To clear them away so that others, will not unknowingly be influenced by them.

I agree with everything you've said, I would like to be catholic Christian but I feel catholics have strayed from original Christian theology, until I have figured out how they are true theological, until then I'm always open to information, I definitely feel catholics have some valid arguments, but not all of them I feel are rock solid.

The Catholic Church is the only church that has true Christian theology because the Catholic Church was the only Church started by Jesus Himself and the only church that goes back 2000 years. The Catholic Church had kind of crisis in the 1960s and you are seeing the effects of it on people like Sr. Rupp, but she doesn't go by the Catholic Church's teachings and the teachings of the church are still correct even though she doesn't choose to follow them. @@CatholicTruthOfficial I'm still studying catholic theology but I still have questions on history, because people throw a lot of dirt at the catholic church, my brother is also not catholic but he said a lot of that dirt they throw at them is false. Can you give some history videos refuting some that dirt or send some. I'm a very skeptical but very open minded to new things. Currently I'm a Christian and and know more than most about Christian theology which I've been able to use against my mormon family. Also my name is Richard

The Fathers Know Best by Jimmy Akin (proves that Catholic teachings were and are those of the early Church) 2. The Real Story of Catholic History by Steve Weidenkopf (debunks lies about Catholic history) 3. Pope Fiction by Patrick Madrid (refutes lies that Protestants spread about the Papacy)

If that’s the case then she needs to go to a more progressive church I really wish she would change her mind even better and realize the beauties of the faith I once went to a Pentecostal church and they told me that the reason they have women priests is because Jesus just did that because that’s how it was at the time and nobody would’ve accepted it and that now women can be pastors which is not really the same

I’ve never heard of Sr Rupp but when you mention New Age religions it caught my ear because there are people who practice contemplative prayer in the same manner and fashion as the Carmelites have for centuries and it bothers me especially when the prayer practiced by mystic saints is folded into the term “New Age”. I am not suggesting you did that but since the Church does a poor job in explaining or teaching this type of prayer its easy for people to misunderstand it. Perhaps you can comment on the three forms of prayer in some future post. I practice contemplative prayer and, as a conservative Catholic, it’s helped my spiritual growth very much and just because someone worships God and Jesus in this way does not mean they no longer value the Catholic faith. In my case it’s increased it 10 fold.

@@voidremoved Discursive, meditative and contemplative. Now if you have read your Bible and understand it intellectually thats a form of discursive prayer which also can evolve to meditative prayer assuming ponder the word of God once you’ve read it. Perhaps you’ve done this after reading your Bible and folded it closed. Finally contemplative prayer is praising God straight from your heart in the Spirit. When Jesus walked into the wilderness for 40 days did he carry a Bible or Tora with him or did he pray in the Spirit? When he sat with Nicodemus did he say God wants us to read and understand our Tora - or did he say God wants YOU to pray in the Spirit? Im sorry if this is a stumbling block for you but hopefully you can enumerate the ways you pray and come to some conclusion that reveals the depth of your love for God. Perhaps you do prayer when you’ve closed your Bible which would make you and I more alike than not. And in case you are wondering whether Ive read the Bible or not, the answer is YES . Twice start to finish and countless times reading verses when practicing my faith. God bless. So different types of prayer - it’s a Jesus thing but also codified in the traditions of the Catholic church. Its nit that scary not intimidating.

The contemplatively prayer of the Church of course is not new age. Some forms of Prayer in the church today our new age but are trying to be passed off as contemplatively for part of the contemplatively tradition of the church and they are not. For example, Centering Prayer.

First I know that u have not been doing contemplative prayer that much....why did I say? Because if u are deep in your spirituality you would not be so defensive with regards to our catholic faith. Attacking others is a sign of fear....fear if what.? Fear of losing your hold on your faith.... you can be defensive but not to the point of attacking people whi cannot even defend themselves. The brand of catholicism you are espusing is fear based....remember the opposite of fear is love... jesus is inclusive and all embracing. Dont be like the pharisees

Sister Joyce is absolutely wonderful. I love her books, reflections, and perspective. Your video is incorrect on so many levels. It’s people like you who continue to divide people within our Church. By the way, Living Faith reflections are available year round… not just during Advent and Lent.

@@CatholicTruthOfficial I enjoy Sister Joyce’s writings because they are theologically correct. Let’s get that straight. As far as facts go, you’ve provided none in this video. This clip is nothing short of rhetoric targeted at leading people to believe lies. There is nothing Sister Joyce has published that is out of line with the teachings of the Catholic Church. That is a fact. Your attack on a wonderful religious woman who has dedicated her life to serving the people of God is quite despicable. And as I said previously it’s quite dividing. Maybe you should pick up some Sister Joyce’s books. I’d also recommend you attend one of her retreats. It would do far better for you than slandering her name.

Richard rohr is a Franciscan.....he is into a Franciscan spirituality. I guess u have to do more research and be more open and embracing of others. It will not help to be narrow minded. Our God is bigger than any religion in this world including catholicism.. I'm a devout catholic and I feel that being close minded will further destroy the catholic religion. The catholic religion doesn't own God. God encompasses everything.

We have Franciscan spirituality also. Bryan went to Franciscan University, and we can tell you that what Fr. Rohr is propagating is certainly not Franciscan spirituality. It is true that our God is bigger than any religion, but our God, Jesus Christ, started Catholicism which has the fullness of the truth. This is why the Catholic Church condemns syncretism and says that we can't learn anything of doctrinal value from other religions. So, the fullness of truth about God and otherwise is found in Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church he started. God bless.

The Catholic Church decides who the true Catholic is, and She lays down both the practices and beliefs that are required to make one Catholic. If Joyce Rupp contradicts those Catholic beliefs, that means she is not a Catholic.
