The individually adjustable air spring controls the flexion movement within in the knee, while the hydraulics dampen the extension movement - creating a smooth, fluid response. The ProCarve foot can be used as an independent component or in combination with the ProCarve knee joint. It is connected directly to the ski binding or combined with a footshell designed specifically for snowboard boots. Like the ProCarve knee, the foot includes a damping unit for controlling movement around the pivot point. The damping characteristic of the ProCarve system is specially designed for skiing, snowboarding and other sports with similar motions. ProCarve is suitable for above- or below-knee amputees respectively knee disarticulated users.
