If someone's stuck at 7:58 where he puts in volume and it doesn't quite turn transparent turn the emission strength to 0.

5.56 - creating the 2nd plane, says control to drag and then snap to edge, i've managed that but then where does the next plane appear from once he's dragged it back I can't seem to get the plane to stay at the back like he does it. any help would be great thanks :)

You need to make your key frame interpellation to linear

If you're mostly doing motion graphics stuff you can change the default interpolation to linear in preferences

Transparency Did not work.... for me instead of messing up Alpha Blend in the Material I stuck a Translucent Shader instead of a Transparent Shader ... took me longer to find my mistake than do the entire tutorial. idk maybe sharing my mistake will help someone~

My transparent shader is not working right.... it only renders it correctly in cycles but as soon as I change to Eevee it stops working. can somebody help?

Change your animation to linear extrapolation. Simply go to the Animation Screen Layout now select Channel > Extrapolation Mode > Linear Extrapolation.
