@@dk1m325 yes it is. if you don't use loctite, the screws will vibrate out under the load of the slide going back and forth.

HI! The plate was for the 507C. I"ve since moved that 507c to a different gun. The 508T, being titanium is a pretty bulletproof piece of gear. I'm going to do a longer term review of the sight. As of right now, I like that i don't ahve to use taller sites. I DO NOT LIKE the fact that it does not allow me to manually adjust brightness. If you notice in some of the shooting footage there is masking tape on the site. This is to change the brightness of the site. If you like low profile and full time, auto adjusting brightness, then the SCS is prefect. I prefer being able to adjust my sights.

@@CDCLLC don't you think adjusting the brightness is another problem to think about during a home invasion or another high stress situation? The only thing I found out is that the green even looking towards the sun is visible. But.. The scs has also a titanium body right? sometimes the scs does looks like blurry.. until it does comes back to a crispy sight.

@@gristelli For sure. IT's also an issue if you're standing in a shadow and your target is in full sunlight. Your sight won't be bright enough to see. Yes the SCS is Titanium but it's an "open" reflex. The closed reflex like the T models don't get clogged emitters.

I believe this will only fit “normal” prodile MoS and not the thin models. I haven’t tried with the thin models.

Order screws from a gun shop. The screws that come from holosun for the scs are trash. Mine broke also then found better screws.

No. It fits in the MOS cut holes. The RMR requires an adapter plate as the holes are in a different place.

I didn’t have to add a front sight for co witness. The SCS co witnesses with stock sights. I have Ameriglo CAP sights installed becuase that’s what I was using before the SCS installation. In the video, I specifically state that the SCS works with stock height sights and you don’t need suppressor height sights

Not sure what you mean. The sights are stock height sights so the cowitness CAN'T go any lower (unless you have lower than stock height sights). The DOT is in the middle of the window if you're aiming. If you're holding it crooked, the DOT will be offset. This particular angle was the only way i could get it to show up on screen. We run an exercise in the Red Dot class I teach where we hold the dot at the corners of the window (top left and right and bottom left and right) and if your dot, regardless of position in the window, is still on the target/bullseye, that's where you'll hit (provided your trigger press doesn't disturb the sight, but that's a different issue). It doesn't matter where the dot is positioned. As long as is the dot is on your desired Point of Impact.

That sucks. There's always that chance with Chinesium. Holosun is much better than your average Chinese made product, but still, if you're going for as close to 100% as possible, I'm in the same boat as you. I'd lean more towards the RMR, using either a forward Controls designed plate, or the C&H Defender plate. I have a video on the defender plate.
