As an Englishman, you made me smile by your references to " the Buckingham Palace" , "the Big Ben" "The Kensington Gardens". We refer to them simply as Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Kensington Palace. Without the definite article. Nice video.

Many English people normally start to eat Sunday dinner between 2pm and 3pm. London is much larger than New York but the buildings are lower and there are more open spaces. There are 4 parks in London that are larger than Central Park, the largest being 8 times the size of Central Park, this doesn't include Colne Valley which is only part inside London and is 18 times the size of Central Park.

So pleased you enjoyed London but if you ever get another chance to visit the U.K. for at least 2 weeks you must travel away from London because we have some fantastic sights for you to enjoy which would give you a better example of how lovely this country really is, plus the prices are far better than London. Although you may not be a history buff, I believe you would be impressed by our history and traditions.

Don't forget that the UK is the same size as Alabama but were as the population in Alabama is 6m it's 67m in the UK ( the UK fits into the USA 40 times ) and so most of the land was owned before the English started to go to the 13 colonies , hence the smaller roads ( bendy so you have to concentrate 😂 ) and smaller housing etc etc

This was his first visit to the UK ... of course there will be errors and mistakes but that's why people travel ... to find out. Be thankful that people wish to visit the UK and be patient with observations and remarks that don't accord with your own. London has some great places but it also has some seriously sh*t places. Surprising that your beverage choices seemed limited to beer; usually, we have an extensive range, including non-alcoholic options for beers, wines, and spirits. Additionally, Sunday 'dinner' is typically a midday affair, from around noon until 4 pm. It's fortunate that you found a place serving as late as 6 pm. Luck played a role there. By the way, for convenient parking, you might want to consider Express Parking options for your next visit.

NOOOO! I was cringing at your food choices. Pubs aren't known for good food. That Sunday Roast looked terrible :( You were staying around the corner from Dishoom - One of my favourite Indian restaurants! And of all the great things to get at Borough Mkt, that sandwich looked dry. I would say pubs definitely focus on drinks beyond beers - Cider is one of the most popular drinks, along with Gin and Whiskey. (Then of course other spirits. They will have Happy Hours dedicated to Cocktails) I used to live in London for 4 years and still miss it. So thanks for the video.. Shame about the food but glad you had a good trip overall and have plans to travel to other countries in the future :)

In terms of crowds London can be hugely overcrowded -imagine a larger population than NYC but with fewer highrises to inhabit and 50,000 protected buildings to dodge, plus massive areas dedicated to parkland -the greenest city of its size in the world (it technically counts as woodland as more than 40% is green space, creating 21% tree cover). If you read between the lines this means less than half the city's area hosts its population, with more in public areas -some districts hold daytime capacities of 600,000 per sq mile by day, falling to 3,000 by night, and other areas vice versa. Thus Brits and Londoners endure the smallest average housing in the West (smaller than even the Japanese enjoy), despite the 'low' density skewed by the parkland. Overall a city designed for 6.6 million Victorians -from street widths to tunnel / carriage sizes, from sewage capacity to height regulations -but now hosting 9.7 million and growing by over 100,000 a year.

I hope people realise you're being ironic. I have actually heard stories of Americans believing American laws apply to them even when they're abroad. But it's only half a joke about us speaking 'American'. There are differences in vocabulary and structures between UK English and USA English and the British are usually much better at understanding Americans than vice versa. This is because so many films and TV series come from the USA so we just grow up hearing American English a lot.
