I had the T8, it's very nice on flat asphalt. When on bricks or uneven ground, T12 is way better. I go like 15 km on a T12 once or twice a day. My 2008 T12 is much more enjoyable than the 2013 one... I don't understand why. This is just as nice exercise as swimming, no real wear and tear on the body. Amazing exercise in fresh air.

Those are some great streets you have to ride on there :) The streets in my new neighborhood are so bad It makes my T8 a no go :(

The synergy of the unique cambering mechanism is what propels the Trikke forward. I think it would be easy to program the rear wheel motors to NEVER tip over backwards while doing wheelies. Then, one could slowly roll backwards while self-balancing on two wheels AND steer as well. Ask your tech gadget engineer for an upgrade.

For those of you wondering where you can get one I've already gotten one through Walmart at reduced cost NEW. I've just finished ordering a T7 Fitness for myself through Walmart for less than $175. BTW I'm 64 and excited about riding one EVERY DAY!

just bought my first trike..after 3hrs i was really getting into it..... 8hrs later it was only the call of my wife to tell me super was ready i came in....yes i did go out after... i enjoy cycle riding and i really enjoy the trikke... bit spooked over bumps as i nearly went flying off the back but thats just down to stance............. i would rate 8/10.. the loss of 2 points would be down to the specific technique you have to adopt to get the most out of these products

I already have a trikke that has Polly Wheels I'm experienced on poly wheels so I am moving up to all Air tires next month

Where can one buy the manpowered Trikkes? I have only found electrical Trikkes. It seems the manual ones went out of popularity 10 years ago. Is any online store that still sells them in Europe or in the USA?

I would like to know, I jus got mine on Monday, and can I get air tires for mine,, I have the t8 trikke3cv. I had back surgery 9 years ago, and these polly tires on it now, I feel so much road bumps from it, and I want a smoother ride, some on please let me know!!! and what I have to buy for it to switch it over

Leah - if you have the T8 in chrome aluminum they don't accept air tires.

What happened to the Trikke 8 3CV model? Was it discontinued? I have a used one of these I would like to restore, put air tires on it, if it's possible - is it? Thanks much.

This model in chrome aluminum was manufactured back in the early 2000 It has been discontinued And you can only use 8” poly wheels You can find on www.trikke.com/store

T78 air deluxe is a great model. Usually beginners start on the T78cs that comes with poly wheels in the rear. and later on you can upgrade to all air tires.

very nice! air tires will give you more comfort when riding. Just don't forget to pump air 75-85psi

So Trikke officially doesn't make these (BPV) models anymore. They now focus on making them electric for police and stuff like that. So the only way you can get a hold of one right now is a third party, or perhaps find one locally or on ebay. They are VERY EXPENSIVE. I've seen them range from 300-1900. I wish you luck finding one. It's one of my favorite pass times.

I have bad (gravel-ish) streets. I wonder if I were to change the back tires (T78cs) will I be able to ride it. I don't want to give up already :-(

our Trikke body powered models are not for riding on gravel :(

If your an adult and don't know whether to get a trikke or a fliker, get a trikke for more fitness but a little less fun, and Fliker for more fun but a little less fitness. if your a kid, get the fliker

It sucks! I was just talking to a guy here in Chicago who runs a Segway and trikke tour /shop and he was telling me that the people at trikke figured there’s more profit in the electronic stuff. I’m sad. I had one when I was a kid and want to get back into it for fun and fitness.

@@youngkinghedwig - I can see why they no longer make the nonelectric ones. Some people might find them a bit fun, but they're one of the more inefficient (or laborious) ways to get around. I ended up donating mine because I no longer wanted to put in that much work to get from point A to point B.
