I’ve been wanting a red light for SO long. For sure on my wish list. Something that I just started now that’s been great is Redkens Bond Repair for my hair. It helps with breakage and damage. Since jiu jitsu we wash our hair more often and also like you said our hair takes a beating I felt like this was a smart product to add. Use it once a week (or every 5 washes) and you wet your hair, apply the bond repair let it sit for 10 mins then rinse out and wash your hair like normal. Something else I’ve been thinking about adding is the Tower 28 SOS daily facial rescue after jiu jitsu. It works as an anti microbial, and anti fungal. Good for if you’re prone to breaking out. Luckily (knock on wood) I don’t have too many problems with acne, but I’m keeping it in mind for my 13 year old.

Oooh I’ll have to look into that! I LOVE Tower 28. I use their tinted moisturizer, concealer and cream blush! I didn’t even know they had a cleanser! 😍

@@kimberlykinch I love their stuff too. I need to look into more products from from them. The SOS item is a facial spray so you could use it on the go if you’re not going to be able to wash your face right away. Between classes, etc.

I’ve been wanting a red light therapy device but then I ran into some information that was speaking on some devices essentially being “fake” As in it’s just the color red and not red light I got confused and overwhelmed.

Ah! Ugh yeah, sometimes doing too much research gets me overwhelmed too and then I get discouraged 😂 Platinum LED and Hooga are two brands that I know that are legitimate 🫶🏻.

If you are looking to purchase a red light device, look up Alex Fergus and his comparison videos. I bought one three weeks ago, I was initially underwhelmed until one day I realized "I don't feel as sore as before" and "this place I used to hurt after training and it doesn't hurt anymore".

Me too! Gingers unite! I just started bjj in may. My husband just tore his pec a few weeks ago and I have a toddler…. So haven’t been able to train as much as I used to 😂 any advice on recovering for my husband bc he was an avid bjj athlete- defense tactics for ohp and state trooper! Thanks!!

Oh no, sorry to hear he got injured! Has he seen a doctor or been prescribed PT? Therapy is definitely important to get back to normalcy! For home, I recommend the red light :)@@jaynareasnor3119
