Super impressive. Watching you do this is extremely calming and I can only imagine the satisfaction you get from a job well done. Your video almost makes me think I can do this myself, but then I remember I tried to wrap my E90 a few years ago and that ended up being a giant waste of time and money LOL!!! Keep up the great work bro!

Amazing job as always. Do you ever see a car.. maybe exotic car and you're like.. fuck this, I ain't taking mirrors, door panels, lights off this car for fear of putting back or breaking something, not knowing how to disassemble? And also do customers say, I don't want you removing anything, then do you fear nowhere to tuck wrap or fear peeling back on those certain areas? Thx man. Best channel, hands down.

Do you do partial wraps? I thought about giving this a go with gold chrome on my 90 nissan 300zx. I am sure i can do most of it. But by watching you I don't feel comfortable to do other areas of the car. You do class act work.

Haven’t heard you say it and it’s always a concern I have when thinking about directional vinyls. Which direction do you lay the vinyl and hoods, trunks, roofs. Iv read other places that on horizontal surfaces it doesent matter cause the film will always look different, the in the sides and bumpers, obviously wrap clock wise or counter clock wise. Great work tho! Love watching your videos and learning from them. Thanks!
@CKWraps6 жыл бұрын
The hood and trunk will look slightly off regardless of how you lay it. The roof on the other hand should go the same direction as the sides if possible
@markley025 жыл бұрын
CK Wraps would this not be the perfect opportunity for a black or carbon fiber roof, hood and trunk?
@theissen6125 жыл бұрын
it works horizontally, or vertically. so as long as the bumpers and the sides are both wrapped with the wrap facing horizontally, they will all looks the same. (ie. you could flip the wrap upside down and it will look the same, but not if you flip it on its side.)
@theleisure2 жыл бұрын
I use 3M mostly. Their directional vinyls have arrows on the backing paper. I position the arrows pointing towards the rear on the driver side, towards the passenger side on the rear, towards the front on the passenger side, & towards the drivers side on the front. Kind of counterclockwise if you think about it. I point the arrows towards the rear on the hood, roof, & trunk so that they look right from the drivers side.

I have a 1986 olds cutlass. Could you make a video or direct me how to wrap this car? The problem is the roof, pillars, and rear quarter is one large piece. But rolls come 5' wide. How could you do this? You'd have to have a seam I assume, but where and how would you do this? I believe this would be a fantastic tutorial. Thank you.

Are these wraps in gloss form shine as good as clear coat over paint? I feel like it doesn't. Considering doing autoflex on my ctsv because of this.
@thejester62654 жыл бұрын
gizmo, depends on the Brans of film. Cheap stuff has crap gloss, and quality has great reflection. Just remember Plasidip Autoflex is no where near as durable as Wrap. Period.
@randybobandy98282 жыл бұрын
Some wraps are as shiny or even more shiny than clear coat.

I searched up if this film was directional and it wasn’t.its non directional so does that mean if u wrap the pieces one at a time will the colors match?

The problem with wraps, or any uniquely identifying feature of a car, is that if forces you to be a princess in traffic. If you have a muscle car, you can no longer gun it when you feel like it, go around slow drivers, take off from lights, or do anything that will piss anyone off, cause now the uniqueness you added to your car is seared into their mind, and if they ever see your car again anywhere, they'll immediately recognize it, and possibly vandalize it. I'm sure I've pissed off thousands of people over my years of driving. I hate driving slow, and I hate slow drivers, so if someone's holding me up, first chance I get I'm going around them. Unlike other douches though, I don't give them a taste of their own medicine and slow down in front of them. I just want them outta my path. As soon as I pass em, I'm gone. If you're not going to drive a fast car fast, buy a pussy prius. I drive mine like it was made to be driven.

Hi again, just wanted to give some feedback to you. I've watched a lot of your videos and you say things like "you should be using a glove", but you're not; or "you should have two people for this part", but you don't... This is just 1 example, but there are many others where you kind of have a 'do as i say not as i do" attitude. As a viewer, it comes across like you're swamped or rushing to get projects out the door, rather than doing them 'right'. I like your content but I feel like I'd like to see you respect your craft a bit more, it's a bummer to watch someone come across like they're half assing something they're good at.
@CKWraps6 жыл бұрын
It's not that I'm half assing it. I rather not use a glove because I work well without one and if I make a mistake due to not having a glove on then I accept that risk and need to repair it. When I say to use 2 people it's because it will simply be easier for you, especially if you don't have much experience wrapping on your own. I've wrapped hundreds of cars solo and without a glove. Working the way I do is very natural to me
@cptiprod6 жыл бұрын
sounds good, I'll try to keep that in mind.

Funny this guy suddenly answers when you point out something that scuffed some hubris. Meanwhile, COMPLETELY IGNORES the dozens of inquiries regarding the material manufacturer, color/series etc. Understand that your viewers are always watching & always judging. It's what you signed up for bro. Would ya do us all a solid & let us know the material used here. Maybe a link????? Cheers
@roberttriner62423 жыл бұрын
**CORRECTION** I'm a total dick. My apologies. May I point out that the material is mentioned in the info section. Material used: ***Avery colorflow Roaring Thunder (gloss)*** Cheers!
@randybobandy98282 жыл бұрын
What a dumb fuck of a comment... he tells people who have ZERO to little experience they need things that he doesn't. He's a pro who has done this 1000 times and he know how to do something solo that would take 2 amateurs to do. He probably uses alcohol on his hands to remove all the oils on his hands instead of gloves.
