Thanks for showing the professionalism and care for the forest that loggers demonstrate. It was pretty too.

There sure has been some serious progress in this industry in the last few decades. It is comforting to see how neat their operations are in this video, as you were pointing out - how clean their trails are, how they are not leaving much mess behind, etc. I own a patch of wooded land in the Northeast Kingdom, part of which was clear-cut in the 80s, I believe. The logging trails they left behind are still like open wounds, 3+ decades later. This past weekend I dug a draining trench across one open spot to try and fix a swampy patch, and I hit a dense layer of tree limbs and chunks of logs probably a foot deep - they just left all that mess behind where they were delimbing and cutting, just covered it up with a few inches of dirt.

Very interesting! When Al and Gina at Lumnah Acres we're having part of their new property cleared, it was done by loggers and he showed some of it, mostly from ground level if I remember correctly. I like seeing it from a different perspective and your explanation. Thanks!

Nice - we had professional logging near family in the Adirondacks. Even back in the 70's and early 80's the right operators could leave a neat space behind. There was no clear-cutting allowed then, except for specific pine plantations, so it was quite some work to navigate the mature trees around the smaller ones. Impressive to watch.

Thanks for the logging footage Ken. They are doing a very nice job in those woods. I liked the special effect you did and the sound when you threw up the leaves and let them fall back down. The drone time lapse scenes were very pretty at the end. The one just above the tree tops with the lower clouds blowing in one direction and the upper clouds blowing in another direction was tremendous to see. Loved the cloud shadows on the landscape too. Great music. Thanks for another great video Ken. I wish I knew more about over there to give you ideas to film. I've liked everything you did so far.

The Calgary area shows a lot of snow now after the weekend snow that fell starting early Saturday morning. Your area looks like winter is a few weeks away and I realize that it could change in a day. Logging has really changed over the years. Heavy duty machines are the "norm" now. It requires deep pockets. Thank you for showing what is taking place. 😊

Hi Ken. Thanks for sharing. Other ideas for videos in a similar vein could be professional farming on a large scale and/or a small scale in Vermont. Or anything that involves living off the land in some way.

My dad was a logger before WW11 as a teenager and after the war in BRAUNLAUGE HARTZ 🇩🇪❤️ MOUNTAINS GERMANY 🇩🇪 He could make anything with wood. I have his very own hands carved out of the PRAYING HANDS KEN. It means so much to me. He died 2007 ,only 85. It happened so quickly, only a few months. GOD'S timing. Married 60 years and 2 months. My parents loved each other deeply.

Must have been a pretty dry year up in the NEK for them to log without the ground being frozen. A lot of logging goes on in the depth of winter when the frost has reached deep into the ground so the heavy equipment does minimal impact to the terrain. Loggers are required now to take extreme measures to preserve erosion and soil impact including removing “temporary” bridges and replanting logging roads. Put it back the way you found it as best as possible.

Your drone perspective of New England countryside is amazing, I particularly enjoy your historical approach and other sequences. I don't know how comfortable you are with editing but one might consider using something like Google maps to orientate your subscribers to an area, then cut in the video of the drone with its aerial perspective of the countryside. I enjoyed seeing a targeted video of an historical areas with your commentary of how the region was first populated, what supportive people and how it differs today.
