japan machine set up seems more fair , the machine in my country set up is to not let you win

Believe me, most of the claw machines here in Japan are rigged as well! Except the ones with rubber claws and that have the "strong claws" sign, none of them have a strong grip until you've spent a certain amount of money on the machine. If you're lucky, someone spent a lot before you got on the machine and get the strong grip before spending too much (that is, if you don't mess up your chance). XD lol (Speaking from experience!!)

@@marie-michellefortier2993 True. I think most of the set-up in tourist spots are a bit more difficult, and most of the techniques in his video can't be used. But I understand their difficulties, probably setting up to be too easy just resulted in getting robbed by professionals so they have no chance but to make it increasingly difficult. I went to Japan last month. I think it's even more difficult now. But certainly not as difficult as the city I grew up in. All in all, I think Japan claw machines are still worth it to go.

What I love about claw machines in Japan is that there always some sort of "workaround" to get a prize... It's in how the machine was set up.

Sounds like a Round 1 at one of those arcades :) I hope to be as good as you one day! I have been trying to go to arcades every other weekend to practice. So far one of my favorite things living in Japan. Thanks for the video! 😁

Nothing better than bouncing between your high skill crane games and cdawg's $1000 challenges. I always loved crane games, but can't stand how greedy they've gotten over here. Terrible win rates, rigged claw strength, just less fun. The ones over there look a lot more consistent, way more strategy. Hope those make their way over here eventually. Thanks for the content!

I remembered playing one crane game. It was early in the morning and the machine was so full of plushies that I didn't even have to grab one. I just placed the crane behind the plushie and it pushed it to the hole on the way back.

I wish I had your expertise, skill and budget when I was in the Gigo in Akihabara 2 weeks ago, left empty handed. I just ended up buying the Spy X Family figures I wanted in an laneway a street from the arcade. Best I managed to get was a few Tomy Takara model cars, a keychain and a cheap 1200yen fitpro watch that you just had to keep pushing with the claw hands from above until the box slipped through the bars it was inserted in between. This was in the Adores in Asakusa however.

The setups in Akihabara are VERY tough, and the machines are reset frequently so you don't often find prizes that are close to be scooped up.

when you win the prize from the machine, how is a new figure placed back into the machine? does a staff member have to come along and move one of the boxes into place again? or is it automatic

Each time, the store clerk puts the prizes in the designated positions.

Seems like it is much easier to win on the real machine than the online machine like toreba, clawjp... Most of the time I play the online machine, I end up with 20+ times and get an assist. :(

It's 100 or 200 yen per try, those figurines normally go for 3000-8000 yen at the shops in Akiba.

16:28 almost 97 dollars to win 27 figures 30:24 almost 100 dollars to win 19 figures 39:58 almost 43 dollars to win 9 figures 52:47 almost 70 dollars to win 19 figures 1:05:20 almost 73 dollars to win 20 figures. He spent about $383 to win 47 figures (yen worth changes, but rn it's worth 75 cents). He practically spent about $1-$10 on each figure that is usually worth a bit more and could resell them to make some kind of profit back. Dude is a GOD at this lol
