His point about western leaders never going to Arab countries to preach gay rights was especially apt. It's condescending to us Africans how they only have the guts to do it in our land. We must make it clear to them that we are not their lapdogs and have our own culture. If they want to cut aid to us because of gay rights then we turn to China. Simple

@@maynardnkambule71 you're completely mistaken my friend - it is the ANC, the ENTIRE ANC. Part of the disguised negotiations prior 1994 was about how to retain the liberal values established by whites (meaning they already existed in the country) and add more if necessary. That's why you have SA adopting lots of these abnormal practices. All these extreme behaviours that the US and Europe are promoting are part of the liberal agenda - and just like a disease, replication is in the design. The push back by some countries, Uganda of late, is in fact a push back against a disease and an extreme sport called liberalism. As for SA, liberalism is the core and quintessence of the constitution. The real road to freedom in SA was stopped dead on it's tracks in late 70s and so everything else was about turning a cage into a game reserve, and the ANC, whether consciously or not, allowed it occur. Of all presidents Mr Mbeki did much of the pushback like African Renainsance, resisting foreigh aid, writing off legacy debt, etc. hence he was hated by the US and West and he didn't succeed nonetheless. There is little any president or political party can do without dismantling the liberal design so you don't find anyone in SA embarking towards that direction. The prevailing thought amongst the political contenders is that they can make it work regardless the design - and that of course will happen in the dreams.

@PaJun why should population be slow down who decides that that narrative is not from African people who understood what is going, if others take what belongs to my children and now I have nothing to eat does that means I should stop living. If Africans are allowed to use its resources for its people the issue of over population would never be talking point 👉

"I refuse..." Baba that statement hit hard. Thank you for standing for those who disagree. It's really a shame he has to remind the journalist what democracy is all about "a competition of ideas" and "disagreeing in an agreeable manner", not the sickening chauvinism to push for a particular narrative which suits ideas she's locked in.

I have listened and watched a bit of Prof. Lumumba, and I am yet to be offended by anything I have heard him say. Kudos to SABC and the Ms Mokoena for uploading this clip, especially given the section where he calls the media out for curating agendas in social discourse instead of reporting the news and leaving the audience to reach our own conclusions on current affairs.

This is a product of colonialism, furthermore, it’s white supremacists in America who imported that particular brand of Evangelical hate preaching. You should read into that if you love Africa so much. You just broke unity and rejected equality. Now, I’m a Straight Man and a Christian myself, but I stay in the interest of equality EVEN if I don’t like every group entitled to it. Make no mistake about it, Gay Rights are Civil Rights. You just permitted the government to pass discriminatory laws. No I guarantee, YOU MARK MY WORDS!, they WILL be expanded, eventually. They ALWAYS are.

That you agree with what some people in the distant past, within a different context, established as cultural standards during their times? Why should we be bound to that? We, Africans, must adapt, and adapt faster, we must renounce all these patriarchal bs that limits people freedom, Africans have never been free, we were subjects to our own monarchs and chiefs, the to the colonial powers, now to dictators.
