You're very talented, great workmanship. Reminds me of my 1966 Velosolex that I used to ride 50 years ago. Same concept, but engine powered the front wheel. It was great little machine that at the time was a little embarrassing, but saved me a lot of 1970's "Gas Crisis" money.

Genau nach diesem Kommentar habe ich gesucht. Die Velosolex hat auch mich seinerzeit immer zuverlässig und sehr günstig von A nach B gebracht.

I grew up in France, and there were plenty of these "Solex", as we called them. Sure, very modest... but very helpful ! 😃

Oh ein moderner Hühnerschreck ist wahrscheinlich nicht zugelassen laut StVZO erinnert mich irgendwie an den Steppke der was aber unter dem Tretlager funktionierte ähnlich dann gab es noch den MAW der das Hinterrad über eine Kette antrieb da wurde ein großes Ritzel in die Speichen montiert leider funktionieren die Teile an modernen Fahrrädern nicht zum Glück habe ich noch so ein Teil das ich mir so was nicht basteln muss und Trotzdem finde ich es Super das jemand diese alte Idee wieder aufgreift. Mein erster Hühnerschreck war ein Haza selbst Zünder ähnlich wie Lohmann habe das Ding nicht zum Laufen bekommen der hatte verstellbare Verdichtung und konnte mit Benzin Petroleum oder Diesel betrieben werden doch leider hat der Motor dem Erfinder kein Glück gebracht es kamen viele Reklamationen die seine Firma ruiniert haben

It's not a new idea, but fun to drive. Golden Eagle makes them with belt drives to the rear wheel. Dax used to make friction drive kits that used the brushcutter engine clutch directly on a bell and shaft which turned the friction roller. I have 2.

Aca en Argentina en 1961 salió a la venta una bicicleta Puma con motor en la rueda de adelante, exactamente igual era un rodillo lo que hacía fricción sobre la rueda, no tuvo éxito porque el neumático delantero no duraba mucho.

Okay, a very nice idea but this idea already existed in the 1950s and was invented and patented in France!!! The engine was on the front of the wheel and the vehicle was then powered by a rubber wheel on the front tire, which unfortunately didn't work in the rain! This idea of yours as such would not be allowed in traffic here and would result in a big fine!🖐👍 Kind regards and have a nice Sunday, Wolfgang 😁👨‍🍳

Its nice to see you make a motorised bicycle, which seems to work well. In the UK that would be so banned, and not allowed on the roads. Here in the UK, we have more laws against doing anything, anything at all! than you have had hot dinners!

Pensei em fazer um projeto parecido professor mas usaria no caso um alternador modificado a motor de brushless, mas o detalhe é que não vai usar bateria, eu colocaria um motor de hoverboard acima do pedal como um gerador e a coroa tracionando o motor de hoverboard e colocaria 9 ponte retificadora kbpc 5010 pra alimentação da controladora a medida que fosse pedalando iria gerar a energia que ficaria em torno de 36v a 40v para alimentar a controladora de 500w 48v.

я кстати тоже не понял - это чё гóлой железкой крутит колесо, ну если чисто само колесо то согласен раскрутит, а с нагрузкой не попрёт - скользить будет , только покрышку протрёт, а если ещё по грязи ехать то вобще атас, а если ещё на колесе восьмёрка, короче х... ня 😂

Do a demonstration in the rain or on wet roads or wet grass, I had a motorbike 50 years ago that was on the same principle and it did not work in the rain or wet grass wet roads, but “beautiful job on that” 👍

Esa idea se hizo realidad en 1946 en Francia bajo nombre Velosolex. Solo que el motor estaba adelante, lo cual hacía su instalación mas simple. 😅

Muy bueno ,tu trabajo fácil ypractico!!! Cuando era pibe tuve 2 motores de bicicleta a rodillo uno Marca PAIT, no se si origen y un CUCCIOLO. Lamentablemente no los conservé , estoy x adaohtar uno que tengo de una Bordeadira Kawasaki bastante a tiguo , cuando lo termine subiré alguna imagen !!! Un Abrazo desde Argentina 🇦🇷

En este momento de bicicletas con motores a baterías de litio me parece que está demas tanto trabajo. Son mucho más prácticas y no contaminan el ambiente.

I like that you did this as in the UK (land of corruption) we would not now be able to do it. I do think you over engineered it and made the frame about twice or more heavy as it could have been. Anyway well done you had it running. If you have a plasma cutter then surely you have access to a lath to clean those welds off. Just saying
