People be hating he teaches Linux, but you actually need to know a few to use Docker effectively. On a different note, I was using WSL on VS Code and those commands were tremendously helpful coming from a Windows background. Sure, the video isn't properly named, but it's not useless.

@@sh3jerry The course still helps me to work with Docker but I'm not sure if it covers new features. I think you should find Docker official release notes for versions that were released when the course was published and the latest version, compare them. Then u can decide if the course is good for you. But the course is for beginners, it does not cover all the Docker features and I think it's still relevant for beginners and u will be able to work with Docker with confidence after finishing it. Then if it isn't enough just keep learning by books. I think you could not get enough experience completing any course. Only books and real experience will make u a pro. I think this course is still relevant for beginners.

I'm taking a programming course through a college and we just started lectures on Docker yesterday. There were a lot of terms to digest and I had no idea what was referring to what or what was even being talked about. You've broken down the concepts into easy to understand language. Before I didn't even know what the purpose of Docker was. You've given it context. Thank you.

I would really appreciate it if you could explain object oriented programming using real life examples where it could be implemented as most people explain it using analogies like "a class is car and it's attributes are fuel" or using an over simplified example. Thanks for making programming education more accessible!

Object Oriented Programming at it's basic can be thought of abstracting or representing real world things in code known as objects. An object knows things and does things. For example, if you were creating a game with a character. Your character would know things such as it's name, age, height and do things such as speak or walk.

For understanding the concepts of Docker I would recommend to watch (the first 28 minutes of) this video first. And after that I would recommend to watch Tim Corey's "Intro to docker" video. Needless to say that imo the videos of both gentlemen are great 😉

what an amazing tutorial! thank you for providing this comprehensive course. I especially like how enough details were provided on certain topics, which removes any assumptions of knowledge/expertise about them.

Disappointing. Nicely presented, but shows absolute basics and then, for the second half, goes to present basics of using Linux. At the beginning it says "Ultimate docker course" and promises to teach "everything" but barely scratches the surface. Edit: If you want to really learn something, better watch these. More value and less empty promises: Docker in 1 hour: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ps1hbL1psbKUZqs.html Docker in 3 hours - much more: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/acldnKWfnJnIdHk.html

Really good video for beginners. You point people in the right direction. But a bit confusing: I was expecting to learn Docker and I ended up learning Linux. You better should have made Linux knowledge a requirement (and make a video about that?) and talk about Docker more!
