this following setting saved my time. go to settings, search CWD, you will find Terminal › Integrated: Cwd then write ${workspaceFolder} instead of C/user/name (or whatever the default value is). now, your terminal will open on current project folder. thanks me later.

Mosh I’m graphic designer but I have a little bit experience in web design. Because of the low salary I decided to change my major as a cybersecurity. Now in this field I noticed that I can do web development because I think I have the front end. So, in other words I know how to use HTML and CSS .. What do you suggest to me? I’m very confused myself 😢

Considering AI can't even solve algebraic math and if you give it the same problem 5 times you get 5 different solutions of which none are correct, your job security is still very much intact.

Hello Mosh. I'm really into C++ and it's my favourite programming language as at time. My purpose for learning C++ is to build cross platforms applications that can run on all computers. Salary is not my issue. My aim and reason for doing this is to make people happy by solving problems with my software. Please Help me to know the right path.. Thanks for reading am Sheriff.

if that %10 improvement in productivity become 26% till 2032, then in will eat coming growth job market, but its still better than other jobs that will see negative job market. in worst case senario you can combine your software skill with knowledge of an specific industry (finance, health, art, ...) to outpace others in there who dont know who to use tools as efficient and deeply as you

It's really funny, we had the same discussions 30 years ago when CASE tools (computer-aided software engineering) started generating Cobol code on the mainframe!!! And yet, I'm still coding!! Now we have better tools and I don't spent time coding reports or screen line by line like we use to. But humain still design the system, the database, most of the logic and make sure that all the components talk to each other!!!

nah, don't enslave yourself to tech companies. Here is what I suggest you to do if you don't have a plan. 1. join the army. 2. pretend to work. 3. retire. Just let Indians code, and east Asians deal with the semiconductors. If they don't pay taxes, go in there with troops to do some spanking. Just so you know, the billionaires don't pay taxes. They are royalties. They shouldn't pay taxes. It's the frigging professional class that pay the most tax and can't say a thing about it. It doesn't matter how much you earn (in fact, you didn't even earn it. You earn that much because you pay more taxes. It's called tax-driven inflation). Don't enslave yourself man. Don't seek approval from dogs in your life.

in my opinion, AI is just a tool to help us solve problems much easier, help us not wasting time into correcting code, just like calculator, with AI we can solve more and more complicated problems.

100% it's worth it! I’d suggest pursuing a BS in Computer Science. You don't necessarily need a university degree to learn coding skills, but having one significantly simplifies the job search process. Plus, a formal education provides a structured learning environment that can be very beneficial. (Make sure to get an internship asap in order to learn real world skills) If, by the time you graduate, you find that AI has significantly impacted the software development field, you can then consider specializing further by pursuing a Master's degree in a specific subfield like machine learning. This could position you uniquely in the evolving tech landscape. I’m a simple software developer right now. And I will admit, I do get a bit scared by rapid evolution of AI. I myself am considering going down the route of getting my masters in Machine Learning, although I don’t think it’s entirely necessary.

I’d like to add on to my response real quick. Coding is really fun and enjoyable to a lot of people, but not everyone. I’m not suggesting you blindly follow my advice and pivot your future towards software development. I’d suggest learning the basics now on your own time and seeing if you enjoy it. If you do, I’d absolutely recommend pursuing it as your future profession.

Well Mosh in years you've been an inspiration to a lot of people in the software engineering industry and will likely continue to be in the foreseeable future but the truth for me is that the industry is changing and not for the better. I learned how to code a couple of years ago and i can solve pretty complex problems with 3 programming languages as i believe in consistency but getting a job has proven very difficult. I've submitted no less 1500 application with most tailored to the job description but still no progress so in my opinion if anyone wants to learn programming they should absolutely do it but shouldn't hope for a job any time soon. I would like to hear other opinions on this matter if anyone has some.
