Well, my layout is a Dad’s Army layout, using mostly Southern Railway steam locomotives plus a Great Western Rail Motor type steam carriage.

Oh yes I temper you telling me, my OO9 has a dads army theme with all my locos being named after the characters

My back scene is created with the use of a digital camera and photography rather than with paint!!

We’ve just used card on this layout as didn’t want anything to expensive. I’m still on the fence between photos and painting, photos are nice but I like Pete Waterman’s argument that you’ve painted the scene at the front so why not the back.

Nice little layout you've done there, just wondering what model are you using for the platforms? Are they custom made ones?

Thank you, yes they are peco platform sides and plasticard tops.

For me, the layout has to be in 00 gauge. It’s the smallest size I can see to build the track work without another person working with me.

We did do oo gauge but it took too much room, the trouble is at his age the layout really has to be a tail chaser, end to end is too complex for little people not crash everything. I think you told me before what layout you where working on, dads army wasn’t it?
