So not only does the first episode of this show have magic curses, robot clones, and alchemy, it ALSO has biblical inspiration.

I never noticed this until now, but the models for the show aren't one sold piece, they're all composed of different parts. Which means that they couldn't properly assign weights or lattices to the joints when rigging the model to the skeleton, so instead made each part separate then attached them to the skeleton bones. Combining that (amature) technique with motion capture is why the animation looks so weird.

Story time: As a kid growing up and to this day, DKC was my favorite video game, the trilogy and 64. So for my fifth birthday party, my mom and dad threw me a DKC themed birthday. I got Donkey Kong and the legend of the Crystal Coconut as a gift, the like hour long special. I watched it every night to fall asleep until I was 12. And still absolutely love it, even with the cringe lmao.

I actually would've never heard of this show if it wasn't talked about in DK's history in Death Battle.

Kongo Bongo. That sounds like some sort of Amercianized Hawaiian food bar and grill, with a title like: 'Kongo Bongo Bar & Grill [Subtitle] Located in Massachusetts since ~1994~' They serve only coconut cream pies and banana smoothies, because Nintendo.

Actually, there's an explanation as to why DKC has such floaty animation. They used motion capture to animate the 3D models. I shouldn't have to explain what that is. It's why that horrible CGI TMNT series got cancelled, too (since motion capture suits are very expensive, and were far more expensive at the time). The lip synching is off because, big shock, like Sonic Underground, this is a European cartoon. The show was originally French. Interestingly, it was well received in Canada and Japan.

stop pretending you hate this show. It's amazing. The Mirror Never lies is great.

You know, having a song every episode can actually work for some things. Looking back on this, and comparing it to what we have now, Helluva Boss pulls it off really well. One episode in particular has a really heartfelt and sweet song that stuck with me. So it can work, its just gotta be done well!

The problem with you rating, is that a banana with Brown spots is actually at it's prime. the more brown the skin, the more starch has converted to sugar, and the sweeter the banana is. When the banana is black, it is still good to eat if used for cakes/smoothies. I made the exact same comment 3 years ago and didn;t realize >.>
