For most people, getting in and out of a high-performance catamaran is a snap. But Dave Burgess, a longtime powerboat owner from Michigan who years ago broke his back in a snowmobile accident, is not most people. His physical limitations had long ruled him out of owning even the most-custom “standard” go-fast cat-at least until he reached out to Justin Wagner, the creative genius behind Waves and Wheels in Osage Beach, Mo. Working closely with Burgess, Wagner and his creative team built a new 42-foot Doug Wright cat that is on the cutting edge of cockpit-access adaptation for physically challenged owners. For Wagner, who enjoys speed on the water as much as Burgess, the project was a labor of love that improved a friendship that started years ago. For Burgess, the twin Mercury Racing 500R-powered beauty, which was painted by Graphix1 Paint, is the catamaran of his dreams.

Now they know how to do the setup for disabled people i really hope the word spreads and they sell a bunch of these and get some very deserving people out on the water. Im glad this is now a possibility for people way to go 👏 👏.

These boats are incredible works of art. The skill and time it takes to make a unique state-of-the-art machine like this is astounding. yall killed it with this project. what a great outcome. it's heart-warming to see what people can do for each other when we focus on giving our best to another person.

Great work Justin, next step, make the slider board a permanent fixture to actuate up and flat then back down to the side of the boat to act as a bumper if needed.

this gentleman is a role model our kids should look up to not some asshole who throws a balls. this man seems to refuse the concept of i cant do it. i dont know anything about him except what ive seen in this video. i also watched the video about his mega wicked skater. the side entry now makes more sense. if i could be a little more like like man i know id be better off for sure. what a champion with a boat built by champions and niether of them are and havent accepted anything but exactly what they wanted. Sir, please enjoy this outstanding boat. if more people said i dont accept not being able to do something this would be such a better place. what a hero in a sick boat!!!! mega mega mega! cheers congrats to you both.
