Project Based Learning, in short PBL, is a powerful way to learn new things and remember them for a long time. It describes a form of learning that happens as a result of solving actual problems.

For those still confused, this method is used in the world of programming. You learn a language's syntax, finish some basic exercises, then do some projects. Bugs and whatnot will come along the way when you make projects. After a while you'll either solve the problem yourself or find someone explaining the same thing on the internet and that's where you learn and retain the information so that you can fix that bug if it ever comes again in the future / teach others who got stuck on that bug. Unfortunately in school once we get something wrong (especially in tests), it stays wrong so stay strong if you failed on a test or something but you're still willing to learn.

i absolutely love this, thank you so much ! we are learning about PBL in our organization behavior class and our project is based on it, the professor recommended watching this video to get a closer look and understanding on the subject and this has helped a lot with getting the point of the whole thing across ! will defo recommend this video to my fellow class mates !!

The society I belong to, PBL is moderately emphasised but there is a huge gap between the inclusion and effective management of it. I believe it's necessary to promote this system of learning in a wider range in order to reach students all over the world. I got to know about this today extensively and I believe Sprouts will work on promoting it further. Awesome content guys!

Definitely the way I've been going at it for past 2-3 years. Something that can hinder this kind of learning is perfectionism. That what held me back. I personally wanted to know everything about the tools before I started working and that took way too long and more often than not made me abandone the project entirely before I even started. It seems to be the best method of learning from both empirical data and epistemology (tying percepts and concepts to reality in a concrete form). Great video :]

Thanks SiMe! Yes, I can see how perfectionism can get in your way, since PBL is manly about trying, failing and trying again. When PBL is being used in school, the projects usually are very well planned, structured and supervised, with clear goals and with assessments during and after after each learning step. In which field did you try to use this method?

@@sprouts filming, writing songs, computer graphics and animation, learning a language, cooking and even when buying a swimsuit. Going to soon apply it to playing piano and working out. Of course there are times when I did plan something from start to finish, but that it only after I learned most of the tools at my disposal for it and about the amount of effort it would take.

The pacing of the audio on this video feels "off". While the orator is enthusiastic, it still comes across as monotone. Because it feels scripted instead of natural
