Welcome back to another gameplay of Project Brutality With Extermination Day. This time we went along and did the part 5 gameplay which involves from beating "Into The Black Jungle" to "peak of gods" which are drastically different from the Hell On Earth Starter Pack counterparts, with major noticeable changes (though under W.I.P). Since the final map is basically the same as HOESP and the boss is somewhat takes longer to beat, the gameplay is only up to "peak of gods" map. This time, an unexpected hero joined us against the battle of the demonic forces. Caleb from Blood
Mods used along with Extermination Day:
1) Project Brutality version 3.0
2) Custom Companion Mod: Caleb
3) Duke Nukem over Doomguy
Note: This version of Caleb uses modified Corvus' sprites, instead of his own, meaning that he will appear hooded like cultists instead of his original dashy look. He uses a custom LMG, rocket launcher, heavy grenade launcher on incendiary mode, hellish missile launcher, flamethrower (which can switch to acid puddle), frag grenade, Unmaker and Demon-Tech rifle which can switch between inferno and caustic modes. Though not as smart as the player, he is still pretty useful to assist us in bigger and tougher battles. Because of him I was able to even make it this far in Extermination Day.
But Caleb in some instances can in fact take you down either by accident (most probably) or intentionally (least probably) if he decides to switch between weapons which he will eventually do in battles. This may be a good thing in tough maps like Hell Revealed but increases the probability to get toasted by your own ally than the probability of death caused by monsters. And the worst part is that he doesn't seem to care about it at all, fitting his cold blooded personality perfectly in this scenario.
Disclaimer: Extermination Day is only meant to go with Brutal Doom V21 and not Project Brutality. So trying it with PB is highly discouraged. If you want to experience Extermination Day with Project Brutality, try the Starter Pack edition which is also pretty darn good.
