Building on its roots in the early 80s with group B rally, Audi placed their legendary 2.2L in-line 5 cylinder turbo into the GTO. Hans Stuck, Walter Rohl, and this car notoriously outperformed every American V8 in the American IMSA series of 1989, coming out completely undefeated against the Americans. Utilizing the all-wheel drive with the 20 valve in-line 5 with a massive triple K turbocharger was a genius idea, producing 38psi of boost, in 1989. This amount of boost was almost unheard of in any racing car at the time. The car made overall 720hp to the wheels with Quattro AWD and a manual gearbox. It was a hell of a car, and an unmistakably fearsome machine.
This is the only 5 cylinder in the game. It CANNOT be upgraded at all so keep that in mind if you’d like to buy it. This car is probably one of the best sounding cars in this game.
