Project Land Rover, Fixing a £300 Barn Find - Part 2: Will it pass the MOT?
Mission Objective: Get her back on the road!
That's the goal of this second video, to finish the fixes that need attention, take the vehicle to an expert and have it passed as good. That means passing an annual inspection called 'The MOT test'. An overall expert appraisal of a vehicle to check its major components for safety and road worthiness. This includes suspension, brakes, chassis integrity, external lighting and engine emissions.
Last time out I fixed the suspension, sorted a non functioning tailgate, mended the drivers seat, changed the front tyres and deep cleaned the interior.
In this video, in preparation for its MOT test:
Fix the remaining mechanical issues
Service the engine
Find and fix more issues!
Break and fix another one!
Do some work on the faded plastics
Treat the underside with a rust preventative and protective coating
Cut out some rot & weld a patch repair
Will it pass the MOT?
