Love your work. I notice (in my experience), that some of these silverware pieces don't weld very well compared to others. I don't know if my settings are wrong on the machine, wrong weld wire, or just lack of talent. Any tips on settings, brand of wire, or anything else would be very appreciated. Thank you!! ❤️🇺🇸

I seem to have missed this one when first posted John. Love to hear how your mind gets right into the 'bones' of how the animal 'works' this ultimately make for a realistic end result. @zenink_tattoos8718 no mate but basically run through the grits up to 1000 on the tank then prime, sand again 1000 grit only, then tack cloth, top coat 3 layers. Then lacquer. Fairings bought second hand set no painting just original finish.

Do you only use stainless silverware? Some kinds just splatter.

Only stainless. Argon / co2 95 / 5 % mix. Basically no splatter, but the end result is also due to care and attention in the clean up / polishing process.

Great to get an insight to your thought process - I love the idea of going back to first principles to get the anatomy correct, then clad it with muscle groups - I think it's going to turn out amazing! And YES, you should accept the BBC offer - not only will it give you more exposure, but it will connect you to like-minded artisans and cross-fertilise ideas. Good luck!
