The MX5 is one of the greatest driving cars out there. Its simple and thats what makes it so good. Yeah its not fast, but its fun.

Alex Kersten Cheers! By the way, those wheels are going to be hard to beat. I'm looking at some Advanti Racing Storm S1's in a 15X8 size. They weigh less, but they aren't cheap. :(

NA MX5 really is top shelf. my first experience in one was on a wet side road, my friend's car, and he kicked it sideways a few times. it was excellent fun, and the fact that it also gets good economy and is easy to maintain, it's just winning in every direction. the NA is my favorite of the bunch, just so simple and pure.

I remember watching this video when it came out. I was 13... I am now 18, own a miata and it's everything I wanted and more! These cars are fantastic if you want to step into the car world.

I just bought a 93 miata completely stock with 72k miles for 2800 i just bought it 3 weeks ago! and seeing this video come out is awesome because i also wanted to make a series on my build!

Alex, I just wanted to let you know that you and your 'Project MX-5' series have convinced me to go out and buy my first MX-5. This video series has made me all but fall in love with the MX-5/Miata. In the next couple of weeks I will be purchasing an NB and starting my own build. Thank you for undergoing this project and allowing us to follow along with you. Cheerio.

I actually turned down an 07 RX8 for an 02 NB about a month ago. Both were low miles and the RX8 had a new engine in it. I wasn't sure if I made the right decision for a while because of how that RX8 was just so damn nice and cheap in that kind of condition. But I know now the Miata was definitely the way to go. People aren't kidding when they say it just makes you smile, even if it's in its stock form. The driving experience is absolutely amazing especially with the top down on curvy mountain roads and it can only get better with the huge aftermarket support this car has. Everyone should drive a MX5 at least once in their life, "it's the best"(;

Hey, I have a 1991 Mazda MX-5 Miata, and they are absolutely brilliant! She has a 1.8 diff, sport suspension, stage two racing clutch, and sport brakes.

A Mazda K'series V6 would definitely complement this car in terms of sound. Those engines can be found in MX-3, MX-6 and 626. All the best with the project I look forward to following!

My dads one is an import and is like 24 years old? i think, its mint...no rust, no rot,(except the cat) and came stock with chrome daisy's and it go the tiniest of scratches which i can see because i know where it is but its pretty much mint and had it for 10 years...at £4000

I love miatas I'm 16 and I have a Miata as my first car that has been lowered with kits and it is absolutely amazing how much fun it is in a backboard.
