And a secret to balance a tire is to put date on top of the valve stem or on a brand new tires the factory balance is the colored dots

I got a manual tire changer from Harbor Freight and it has served me well. It has a bead breaker and you can get the tires on and off without too much trouble. I usually mount my tires then take em to my local tire guys for airing up and balancing.

On the "popfluid", the issue was having no gap for the fire to get in. I wouldn't have put more ether inside. Perhaps that is a good time for the bucket under the wheel... to keep a gap. Just being an armchair ommenter. Take care, be safe!

May I suggest,, put a piece of carpet down and use some tire spoons. It would be a lot less work and less dangerous for you up there looking like you are working for dollar bills.😂

A Coats 4040 makes all that much easier. Install the tire on the wheel and inflates it in less than one minute!!! 🙂😃😁🙄 I've been fixing flat tires on bicycles, cars, tractors, and trucks for over 40 years and I never heard of that bead goop.

Where I come from a rim is the outer edge of a wheel. We say " I'm going to put some new wheels and tires on my Trans Am" circa 1977. We call the wheel the section that mounts to the car and the tire the part that installs on the wheel.

I was thinking you don't need a bucket for mounting the second bead onto the rim. It just looked more awkward than doing it on the ground. Can you please tell me why acing it flat on the ground isn't a good way to do that? Thanks.

Obviously if the bead is touching then you don't need to use that method. Just like your first attempt. The flame and the flammable mist were not able to touch each other because the bead was touching all the way around.

Have you ever thought the DAWN lubricant soapy water trick may leave a film allowing you to lose a bead easier also?

Have you ever tried removing the bead from a rim lol? It's one of the hardest thing you'll ever do, I had to drive my truck over top of the tire to collapse the bead. So no, definitely no worries of the bend hoping lose because of soap. 👍🏼💯

You ever try removing a tire from a rim ? Try it once and your question will be answered lol... hardest thing I've ever done, til I found the trick of driving my 6 thousand lb truck over the edge of the tire to break the bead
