Nice tractor, I just bought a L3560 with a cab. I won't get it till Friday. I was going to get a Deere, but then I found out they use chinese parts on em. Nothing beats japanese tech.

+tantricmaster800 You are getting a very nice tractor! You will love it. I really like the grand L series. Yeah it's too bad Deere is taking the cheap route on their smaller tractors. Kubota is growing market share every year.

Beautiful tractor! Your keeping the old one? Must be nice to have two tractors. We've got a John Deere 3720 cab tractor. The cab is great but expensive.
@ProjectKing
@ProjectKing 7 жыл бұрын
+Ethan Boening Yes keeping the other one. They both have different uses. The new one is basically a permanent loader/backhoe tractor it's also smaller than the old one... just doesn't look like it in the video. Kinda like having a skid steer. I'd love to have a cab tractor but they are big $$$$! (0: Thanks for the comments.

New sub here. John deere puts the steering linkage in the back of the axle but also lower than the axle, so it is not really protected. Anyway, excellent machine you got there. Good luck with it!

from all the reviews I have been seeing, that just doesn't seem to be true anymore. Kubota and to a less researched view, Kioti, seem to be a great alternative to the Deere and New holland

John Deere has been using plastic fenders , and plastic hoods on a lot of theirs 20k+ tractors. They offer lesser quality front end loaders and back hoes as well. So I'd rate your statement as false lol.

Do you think there is a way to make the seat a swivel seat like on the BX models to eliminate the second seat on the BH77 Backhoe?? Looks like it would give much more leg room?
@ProjectKing

No. Area between fenders is too tight. After shifting seat rearward (forward) I have plenty of leg room

+natserog I recommend getting on tractorbynet.com and asking on the forums. Lots of great info and advice on there. I maybe able to help you. What are you going to do with the backhoe? It’s a hassle to remove backhoe and install 3 points to hook up bush hog. That’s where two tractors really come in handy. Unless you are going to do a lot of back hoe work you may skip buying one. I’m not a fan of HST for bush hogs. I liked geared tractors for running bush hogs because the HST eats power. But HST is great for loader work. I know I’m just confusing you and that’s why it would be good to get peoples opinions on TractorByNet.com. Buying a tractor is a big investment so you want to make sure you pick the right one for your application.

+JCMotorsports I got it when they had a lot of rebates. My suggestion is go on Kubota website and build what you want. Then take about 14% off the price. Then subtract the rebates and that will give you a good idea of what it will cost. There's rebates for the tractor and rebates if you buy one or two implements. The loader and backhoe qualify as two implements.

I just took delivery on my new L2501 one month ago. For my applications, the 2501 is very much adequate. The dealer told me that a 3301 will not handle a 6 ft brush hog and the 2501 will run along all day with a 5 ft. Not having the pdf is a pretty substantial cost savings and the 2501 will be somewhat easier on fuel. The 3301 has a better seat though. Kubota could have done a better job on how the exhaust is routed. Great video and great comments. You learn a lot by sharing ideas with others. Thanks guys.

Hi, Just got my L3901 with BH77. Had a Bx23S- not enough tractor for my needs Completely love the new unit, but the backhoe controls are a pain. I have contacted my Kubota salesman and asked Him about the ones you put on your BH77.. He is clueless. Said Kubota only makes one kind of levers. I asked if maybe them put different types depending on the type of seat. Can you give me the part numbers of the longer boom and dipper stick levers you installed on your BH77. Or the dealer/supply house you bought them from. Thank you in advance. Tom
@ProjectKing
@ProjectKing 6 жыл бұрын
Hello, the sticks I put on are for the BH77 hoe when it is installed on a B2650. They are much longer. Also note I have shifted my seat back on the mount so I clear the sticks when getting on and off. Yes the stock sticks for L series configuration are ridiculously short

I'm looking forward to the video about what you didn't like about the L2501. I'm shopping for tractors, and I'm presently interested in an L3301HST. I picked that over the L2501HST because I think the L2501's PTO HP might be a bit low for a flail mower that I might want to add later, though I'm still considering whether the L2501 might be enough due to its lower price. I thought that the engine size and emissions hardware were the only differences between the L2501 and L3301.

+Mark's Tech Channel The L2501 exhaust was really loud. Which is strange for a Kubota. I considered installing a new muffler but decided to switch it for a L3301. Also the exhaust smell on the L2501 was really bad. Smelled like an old ford diesel pickup. Since mine has a backhoe it sits in one place while working. The exhaust smell starts to really bother you. You should go drive both tractors and see what you think.
@Nf6xNet
@Nf6xNet 7 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Those are good points. I don't think I can afford to get a backhoe with my new tractor purchase, but I hope to add one later, so I would have the same issue.
@ProjectKing
@ProjectKing 7 жыл бұрын
+Mark's Tech Channel Kubota has some good package rebates when you buy two implements at the same time. Back when I got mine it was a fair amount of price. Plus there was a good rebate on the tractor too. And you could get all of that with the 5 year 0% financing deal. So that all helps on the price of the backhoe. It's pricey but it sure is handy! Saves a lot of back breaking work. It's no mini excavator but is very capable for odd job digging... etc.

Nice video. I saw your comment about the smell of the exhaust being what turned you off to the 2501. I had to chuckle because I am actually in the process of trading in my 3301 for a 2501 for the same reason. I'm not gigging on you here- to each their own Of course. For me, the ammonia-y smell of the dpf was a tad nausiating at times. This being the first dpf tractor I owned, I assumed it was typical of the emmissions machines. I've owed several older machines and the diesel smell never bothered me, so I figured the 2501 would better suit. The only other thing I can say about the 3301 that I personally have a issue with is the fact that idling is not good for the dpf. There are times when I like to idle (using the tractor for lighting while we work on the skidsteer is one example that comes to mind). If you do this you will regen 2x to 3x more often. I didnt have issue with the regen, it always worked fine and takes about 15-20 minutes to complete. Just annyoing when you are getting ready to put the machine up and the light comes on. Again, not digging, just my experiences. Other than that and hp the machines are similar.

+kdidl I enjoyed reading your comments. The benefits of the L3301 outweighed the disadvantages for me. The L2501 exhaust smell would make me ill in 5 mins. I have another Kubota tractor and zero turn. Also have operated many other Kubota machines. Never had any of them smelled like the L2501. Smells like an old ford diesel pickup. Also the exhaust was extremely loud. Combine that with HST whine and I couldn't wait to get rid of it. A gear drive L2501 maybe different since RPM can be kept lower.
@kdidl

Thanks for the reply! It's always interesting to hear other tractor enthusiasts thoughts. I actually always thought my 3301 had a very loud HST transmission. But the 2501 I drove at the dealer last Saturday was just as loud. I did notice the engine was a bit louder on the 2501. I wear hearing protection all the time, so this won't bother me. Thought about going with the manual trans this time (because of the noise), but the convenience of the hydro outweighs the quietness but have-to-shift-gears IMO. I owned the 3301 for 3.5 yrs and put 430hrs on it and had no issues. Hopefully, the 2501 will be just as trouble free. Anyway, new one arrives this Saturday.

+kdidl Congrats on the new tractor! Hope you enjoy it. I did research and I'm pretty sure a muffler from a L3830 will fit the L2501 with some modifications. My L3830 is real quiet. Yes the L3301 and L2501 HST seem to really whine at times. It's good to know your 3301 has been reliable! I'm at 30 hours right now. (0:
