This is very good. Gives others hope. The sound quality could have been better Andrew. We can hardly hear whats being said. Maybe overdubs or subtitles would have made this excellent.

So the last woman is complaining about spending $20 in 11 days for electricity on an irrigation project? Who does she want to pay for her electricity? This is why we are in this mess because these type of people were using electricity without paying. I wonder how she is going to react to the new electricity tariffs.

I don't think she is saying she wants someone to pay. She is just saying the downfall to her type of business. I am sure she is comparing the electricity costs to the income they get and so it makes their profits low. It is good to inform people of the ups and downs of each business coz people are fully informed before they choose to take up the business. Even the fish business had a downfall of birds eating the fish..

Did i get this rite ! Start with 17.300 chicks . Loss 1% . You Make 360.000usa total. Then after expenses etc you make 20000 in 5/6 weeks! For that reason I'm in!

Generally contact growers are between 5 and 8 percent which are a little tight more so with tight bottom of 1% mortality how ever if you are lucky to be an independent grower those profits can shoot up to anywhere between 20 and 35 %.

All I am asking you is to explain the USD340 000 expenses within 5/6 weeks. In other words what constitutes such expenses within 5/6 weeks? OR what is the breakdown of these expenses?

@@lll4599 you are definitely right remember Zimbabwe does not use Usd so my assumption was we are all agree its Zimbabwe bond dollars, But as a rule of thumb in usd term in a stable environment the very good farmers will produce broilers between usd 2.20 and 2.40 usd that's about an average approx usd 34 000 for ten thousand dollars. Also remember these are raw numbers without financing cost, and I should hasten in the field actual mortality is usually around 2.5 to 3% ,the 1% mentioned is exceptional maybe because of student labour at high literacy rates ,but many factors like weather and season makes the 1% near impossible, by the way hanzvadzi it was not ignorance but rather opportunity to respond that delayed absence, I did contract farming about 15 years ago but and graduated to independent farmer a while ago.i should also mention that a little mechanization and automation of chicken feed systems when handling such huge numbers does significantly better bio control and lessen mortality, and also favours better growth rates as feed/ water availability becomes more consistant .region in lower temperatures like gweru also experience naturally slower growth as elevated temperatures closer to +25 degrees encourage growth, Li your always free to ask more
