I'm rewatching this 4 years later and I'm astounded about how much of this man's way of thinking I have applied to my daily life without even remembering I did. Just because it did so much sense. Even single phrases like "remove every potential point of failure you can". It's just a small lesson he gives while giving other lessons, and that has become a big think in my life in recent years. It is amazing how high the level is here.

The entrepreneur makes it up. The manager makes it real. The staff and the systems make it reliably recur.

I would put it more like this: The entrepreneur makes it up. The manager and the systems make it reliably recur. The staff makes it real. The managers are just making the staff follow the systems to make it happen again and again. The staff are the people who actually do the work. They trade time for money to make the entrepreneur's dream come true.

Great video and insights, thanks. I think the killer videos were the ones you did at start of channel where you deep dived on topics, where one of your staff members interviewed you. The reason is because for like FB live chat records and these live event snippets which are great they are very operational focussed and reactive to what you are being asked. Whereas the ones where you went really deep on a more non-customer focussed questions and more your view of the world, business, judgement, seeing the code in the matrix so to speak, I think were top notch. I forwarded them to friends I've got in other industries like the music industry, they were like this is badass, then made people at the record label on their team watch them, as they are universally applicable and I think one of them getting your program.

I never learned so much about management I have changed completely my way of thinking about hiring new employees. Thank you so much!
@strategicthinker88995 жыл бұрын
The only thing I would disagree with in this talk is the "making everyone an owner". Vesting has to be pretty spot on for that to work as a lot of people start lazying off when they get a secure percentage of a growing company. A better way in my opinion would be to split (or double if you can) the commission % to outright payment and accumulation with a delayed withdrawal, so the money accumulates and makes the employee less likely to want to leave as he'd forfeit the accumulated money. Never give away your company. I learned the latter from Felix Dennis. I recommend his book "The Narrow road" to anyone.

00:00 To reach eight figures, one must transition from a promoter to an operator. 06:05 Sam Walton's success was due to his efficient operations and promotions. 10:53 Constantly monitor cash flow and expenses 17:21 Hiring a manager is important, but the best person on your team should become the manager. 22:02 Effective management is key to business success 27:46 Knowing when to hire is crucial 32:54 Good management is crucial for business success 01:04 Hire for potential and incentivize with stock options to make employees think and act like owners.

LOL. I can't wait to watch this whole video and implement it, but as an American I laughed pretty hard at "FUCK that 's"" comment about Arkansas Key Takeaways: Hire when you're spending too much time/pain in a role. Hire for potential, give them 6 months to get good. Fire them if they suck, otherwise trust them (look at KPM). Make everyone an owner with stock options to win long-term.
@BigLousBouncies5 жыл бұрын
