As an actual Data Scientist by academia and experience this is completely inaccurate. This is like saying plants don’t need water for photosynthesis. I’ll leave it at that parable.

No, he is not saying prompt is dead. So a better metaphor might be saying plant don’t need perfect ph balanced water for photosynthesis.

@@varmapirate576learn practice use apply theorycraft, then, the part i cant manage, convince someone what you have learned can save them enough money that it incentivises them to pay you to do it. That, or come up with a (or several) use case(s), and implement them as python api, based on great prompts

bro it is not all about using midjourney or gpt there is much more matters to deal with it like langchain hunting face local LLms their weights or fine tuning them it is not the thing that everybody can do

So in layman's terms: There is a big difference between a "prompt engineer" and a "prompt creator". Anybody who can type can use the front-end systems (mainly a predesigned web application) with some type of API, yet people are still needed to manage and help develop the back-end systems. I feel like the guy speaking in this video believes that this job requires you to write poem parameters into a web application interface for language models. If they think that the small duties of the entire job is everything for said job, then only putting fuel into a semi truck is a truckers entire job... or only driving an ambulance as a paramedic to somebody who is dying is their only job.

I understand what he did (and said) but companies are always lagging behind any and all trends. Why? Budget, budget , budget. Everyone should learn to create prompts whether they become (or are already) an engineer. It’s an important skills to have right now. Please stop watering this subject down.

A lot of us don't understand in depth how LLM work, so prompt engineering would help to make best out of llms. Although it doesn't need to be a research of a field by itself

Prompt engineering is not just about Images. If u want to create more than this you'll not be having pictures for everything. If u want to create a bot that helps in the ordering process u cannot do that . It's more than that. And the ones taste matters at this point

lol, what a clown. Prompt engineers also collect, clean, augment, and test datasets for fine-tuning and embedding models. What he described is like 5% of prompt engineering.
