Really in depth, great video Jeff! Opinion question for you: I'm 6'3" with a good portion of my height in my torso. My biggest issue is finding tshirts that stay long enough. How would you say these hold up on that front? Thanks in Advance!

Good question. I would say these run about average in length for a t-shirt. I think the athletic fit was a tad longer than the classic fit. So if you size up in your regular shirt size, the chest and body will fit about the same as your normal size, but give you a bit more in the length of the shirt.

We're traveling nomads wearing wool 😅. I've gotten use to the price tag. Especially since we've been wearing the same wool items for 3-6 years. 🌺Heidi

Hello friend. Is wool okay to wear in the summer? I travel with motorbike and i want to pack wool since its antimicrobial and wont smell as much. But will i sweat much more than plain old cotton tshirt when riding in the sun at high heat

Good question. Yes wool is great to wear in the summer. It is a great fabric. If you are not familiar with Merino wool, it is not like wool that is commonly used. That is generally a heavier weight for warmth used in jackets and blankets. Mernio wool clothing is made to be much thinner. I basically wore these all summer long. They are moister wicking, anti-microbial, and downright very comfortable to wear. Merino is used for travel, hiking, and EDC clothing. So yes, these would be great for a bike trip. I am thinking about picking up the hoodie myself for the summer to use a sun layer at the beach and State Park pools.

@@jeffgrantMEDIA Thank You for your reply. Yes if they don't smell it will be a lifesaver. Cause instead of carrying 6-7 tshirts and filling my bag, I can just grab 2 merino tshirts and then a more flashy and trendy cotton shirt for nights out for drinks. I'm from Europe so I don't have access to unbound and other popular brands. What I can get here is the Adidas Terrex xperior, lasting quido and Rab. Any suggestions between those?

Personal question here but I think it’s relevant, Do you use antiperspirant? Or do you just use deodorant? Antiperspirant tends to eventually stain and on an 88 dollar tee that’s rough.

To be honest. I’m not sure what it is. I use Degree Sport. I’ll have to look when I get home. I don’t have any issues with it staining any clothing though.

I just remembered to check. It reads Antiperspirant Deodorant. I have not have any issues staining any shirts sense I have used Degree Sport, which is probably close to 10 years now. The only time I remember getting stains was when I used gel type deodorants or worse really cheap shirts. My old uniform t-shirts from my last job 10 years ago would stain. But again, those were pretty cheap shirts.

5’9” 180 wearing a size medium in the classic form and a large in the athletic fit. Both fit me well.

My merino experiment lasted 2 hours and back to synthetic. I’ve noticed the wool industry loves the goofy colors. Thing is nobody buys them. Of any recommended brands size large and medium and usually XL are sold out unless your into being flamboyant and bright pink or colors that hurt most peoples eyes are your thing. Apparently I’m not alone either because every size of goofy color is in stock and just about every wool company with a brown , tan or dark earth color way stays sold out. Maybe make the color that actually comes off the shelf and is sold? I think Sitka is doing merino now so I might end up trying a merino synthetic blend.

The Proof shirts do not come in any crazy colors. The Performance fit comes in a lot of normal colors, much like my favorite cotton shirts. In fact, I don't think I have seen any companies making merino shirts in crazy colors. Closest might be some of the Smart Wool socks I've seen/wore/ sold.

@@jeffgrantMEDIA the one I remember clearly is Unbound merino. Some of the ugliest colors I’ve seen but the only items they had in stock. Maybe I just picked the wrong time of year post Black Friday. I’ll watch the entire video and see the thought on these proof t shirts because they actually have the color and size I am after. My only concern now is the correct size and some more research on the laundry and care. I plan to use it 24/7 as an undershirt so slightly concerned with the longevity since I’ve heard the thin merino can wear out fast. Maybe it’s all covered in the video. Any thoughts you want to add I’ll gladly listen. Thanks

@@TYMGhosT I mostly wear these shirts every day. I have been tossing them in the washing machine with my daughters laundry, because I do that on delicate. But they haven't shrunk or worn out at all. The only thing I noticed was the oxblood shirt seems to get a little more static electricity than the other colors.

@@jeffgrantMEDIA update: got one tee to try out. Dune size medium. Took my measurements used their size guide. Wore and washed once. The medium is now too small to even be an XS… not expecting them to take an exchange to a large but hoping they do since it shrunk more than cotton on high heat. Either way I’m back to synthetic. Wool is way too expensive to have to find out at 100 dollars a pop. I can buy more synthetic products and just change clothes if they smell. I’ll go broke finding a shirt and a brand I like made out of wool.

Ridiculous pricing. $88…smh. There are plenty of merino wool brands out there that you can buy t-shirts for much cheaper.

There are plenty out there that are MUCH more. I’m sitting here wearing one now, having run all over an abandoned location all moring filming, and it’s dry, comfortable and stink free.
